33. "Say Hello to..."

Caty Jones' POV

I couldn't sleep. I was having bad contractions. I knew my Dad was awake. He suffers with really bad insomnia but, if he smokes (not a cigarette or vape) he sleeps good. Also, it feels like I'm having contractions every five minutes. Oh fuck... it's happening.

"Dad!" I yelled, "The Watermelon Dropped!" I hear running upstairs as I feel liquid going down my legs. I hear someone else's footsteps and I forgot Evelyn was also here to help me.

"C'mon, Caty," he has me wrap my arm around his shoulders rushing downstairs. Evelyn with a towel in her hands and my bag. My contractions were getting worse being every three minutes. My body was trying to force this baby out already.

"Okay, Caty... it's time to push..." The nurse tells me as the doctor focuses on my area. I nod wanting to cry because Caleb wasn't here with me.

"Three... Two... One..." I began to push, groaning through it. All I could focus on was the baby. I could already feel them coming out. I push again feeling the baby more. I scream at some point crying through this. I was too young to handle this. Hopefully, the baby will be alright...

"Caty, you got this," Evelyn said holding my left hand. I squeezed it tightly knowing she's beside me. I wish Caleb was here. I pushed again as much as I could. I stopped after my body wanting to continue pushing through it still.

"One more push," I hear the doctor say. I push one more time then hear my baby crying.

"Congratulations, it's a girl," I smiled wanting to hold her. They wrap her in a towel giving her to me. I watched as she cried due to how cold it was being exposed. She was gorgeous I couldn't get over how small she was. In an instant I felt myself get dizzy...

"Someone take the baby..." I mumbled feeling myself shut down. Evelyn took the baby out of my hands.

"Guys! Get more doctors in here immediately!" Someone yelled. I remember my baby being taken out of the room and my sister panicking as they make her leave. Everything was beginning to get blurry. I could barely hear anything..

All I saw was Caleb. He was dressed casually. He smiled at me and it felt as if time has stopped. His long hair was blowing through the wind. It gave me hope that maybe, just maybe everything was going to be alright.

I slowly opened my eyes to see the sun out in the sky. The lights were off but, the curtains were open. I could see most of the town from here. I look on my left to see Evelyn sleeping on the chair and my baby asleep beside me. I sat up pulling the cart towards me. I put my left hand under her head and my other hand near her butt lifting her up so I could finally hold her.

She yawns then falls back asleep in my arms. She was so adorable I couldn't get over her little cheeks. Along with how small she is. I hear the door open to see a Nurse come in which startles my sister awake.

"Oh, good your awake! We need to know here soon if she can attach to you and drink breast-milk. Also, the Father signed these papers a few months ago?" She was confused because I didn't show up with a father figure. I look at the paper and there it was. His signature stating she was his.

"Yeah, he showed up to my doctors appointments with me," I replied back.

"Okay. Here's the birth certificate. Sign what her name will be and we will get all of her information to you soon," She said with a smile.

"Okay," I replied back.

"Alright. I'll back back soon or a doctor will come in," I nod as she walks out the door. Well, she was kind.

"I'll take her out of your hands so, you could sign that," Evelyn said grabbing her from my arms gently. The baby moves a little but falls back asleep.

I read through the papers, sign my name as her biological mother obviously. Then I put down, Nicole Rose Finn. She will meet with her Dad soon....

"Caty, you got guests!" The nurse said to me. I smile as I see Cassandra, and my Dad. I'm not surprised my mother isn't here. I believe my Dad got a restraining order against her. He said how he physically saw her hit me, and I told the same story... and she lied. But, it got filed and we have one against her. He divorced her too..

"Hello!" I say getting a good hug from my Dad. Oh, how I missed him. I wanted to ask Evelyn what happened during the labor but, I couldn't right now.

"What did you decide to name the baby?" My Dad asked. I smiled as he picked her up in his arms.

"Say Hello to Nicole Rose Finn!" I say quietly in excitement. They all say hello to Nicole.

"Cass, can you do me a favor?" I asked her. She nodded making my way. I text her and sent her a picture of the baby.

"Oh okay," She said. She moved to the other side of the room to text Caleb that his baby was born today.

Caleb Finn's POV

Life felt boring after Caty left. I mean, I'm a social media star now. I quit my job in May after blowing up from the Maniac video that was posted. I also hated that I had no idea when the baby would be born. I haven't heard from her in months. I always think about texting her but, I never know what to say.

I get a text notification and see it's from Cassandra. I look to see what it is. It's a picture of a baby. The text says...

Your daughter, Nicole Rose Finn was born today.

This just made me want Caty even more. I wanted to meet my daughter already. When?

Caty Jones' POV

"Evelyn, can I ask you something?" I began.

"Yeah," She was changing the baby's diaper while I ate some food she bought for me.

"What happened after I blacked out?" I asked her. She looked at me thinking of what to say. I raised an eyebrow at her waiting for an answer.

"You had enough body strength to push the placenta out... but, you lost some blood doing so... the doctors had to make sure you didn't have to go into surgery. They just had to put more fluid in you," I nod. "Also, you probably passed out because you were exhausted after giving birth. They said you're fine though." I nod again as she hands my child back to me. She latches onto me so, I can breast-feed. I feed her watching Evelyn sit on the edge of the bed. She looked like she wanted to say something. Then, she finally looked at me.

"Did you tell him?" She asked.

"I had Cassandra tell him," I say to her. She nods her head as if she heard me. I could tell something was on her mind.

"My girlfriend and I aren't together anymore. So, I'm probably going to move back to Australia," My eyes widen in shock to hear this.

"But, America is your dream-"

"I know... But, Mom is out of the picture. I would like to help you with Nicole... I don't have a reason for America... Besides traveling on occasion, of course," She smiled after telling me. She really was moving back home. I didn't know what to say.

"I leave in a week. To pack all of my things... which isn't much because I've slowly brought stuff back here. Dad already knows," I smile excited that she's coming back home. Support I finally needed.
