30. "Teachers Pet"

Caty Jones' POV

Today I am going to my ultrasound. If I want I get to discover the gender of my child. I decided since my appointment was at 1:00p.m. I know he doesn't have a class to teach so maybe he wanted to go. I decided to go to his room and see if he was available. I open the door to see a girl approach Caleb.
She has light brown hair almost like a dirty blonde. She's wearing a white shirt with a black bra underneath. I personally thought that was unattractive. And she's wearing a black pencil skirt. Unfortunately she looks around her late 20s. Which is his age range. I study her to see she's twirling a strand of her hair around her finger. She's also giving him the most flirtatious grin, I've ever seen. He says somethings using his hand to describe whats going on and hands her some paper work. She cringes realizing that he's ignoring her flirtatious actions.

"I have a girlfriend," I hear him blurt out to her. I notice her look at him disgusted and before I know she walks with sass towards the doors I'm near. I rush straight to my Aunts office before the woman sees me. I look out the window to see her exiting the building. I sigh of relief but when I turn around I see my Aunt Justice raise her eyebrows at me, puzzled by why I did that.

"Can you give Professor Finn a message for me?" I asked her. She nods reluctantly.

Caleb Finn's POV

I'm so disgusted at the fact my co-worker was all over me. I wasn't comfortable with it. I'm dating Caty but, she couldn't know that. She was the assistant art teacher... I knew Caty might have her so, I didn't want to expose my personal life with my co-worker. I've tried being with another girl. It doesn't work. I rub my forehead staring at my computer screen. I process the fact she was flirting with me. It got under my skin especially not knowing how Caty will react later when I tell her. I hear the door open causing me to look in the direction I heard the noise from. I see Caty's Aunt Justice enter with a note.

"I rescheduled your meeting. So, go," He handed me the note after telling me I'm free to go for a few hours. I grabbed it from her hands reading it.

I was going to walk into your room but saw you with another teacher or whatever. So, I figured if you want, you can come to the ultrasound. The appointment is at 1:00 here's the address...

I read the address looking up at Justice. I look at my clock to see it's 12:13p.m. I had a meeting at ... I look up at her.

"Thank you!" I exclaimed in excitement. I began packing up my stuff. I didn't want to be late to my girlfriends appointment. Once I was able to see Caty today. And that's what gave me hope.

"Caty Jones?" Caty and I heard. We both stood up walking to the door were supposed to go through.

"Whose this?" The nurse asked pointing at me.

"The Father," Caty replied. The nurse opens the door letting us in. Caty grabs my hand intertwining our fingers together. We get led into a room. They check her vitals and the baby to make sure they're both safe and health.

They put this blue gel stuff on Caty's stomach then put the monitor thing on her stomach. After a moment we both see the baby. My eyes widen in surprise.

"Caleb, the baby is moving," Caty tells me. The baby looks like it's moving it's fingers. I smile in response. Caty looks at the screen in a way that says so much.

"Our baby is going to be beautiful or handsome," I say. The nurse smiles at us before continuing with the ultrasound.

"Jeez this gel is cold," Caty said squeezing my hand tighter than usual. I sigh knowing I couldn't do anything about it.
