Cassandra's POV

"Are you sure you'll be fine here?" Caty asked me after we got done hugging. I drove her to the airport because our semester was over. She told me earlier that their Dad was gonna meet them in America. So, she was getting ready to fly out.

"Yes. I have a good friend of mine coming into town for a week," Caty smiles after I reassure her I'll be alright.

"That's good. Well, I hope you both catch up and you have fun, I'll be back on the 30th of December. Love you be safe!" She exclaimed grabbing her backpack leaving with her ticket.

"Love you too!" I exclaim. She turns to me and smiles before turning back going to her gate getting on the plane. I sighed but little did she know ... Lillie and I have been secretly talking since Caleb's birthday party. I couldn't get out of my head the way she tackled me to just to cuddle. Also, how nice she was when she introduced herself to me. Maybe Lillie was a good sign. Lillie felt like the light through the darkness I was stuck in. She made me feel things in a way I haven't experienced before. It was nice to feel happy again and slowly accept myself for who I am.
I'm excited that I get to see her in an hour. I gave her my address letting her know that I'll have the house to myself for a while. She was alright with it. I was nervous about what would happen these next few days.

-

"Hey! I was glad you showed up here safely," I tell her. She smiled tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I'm happy you're here alright. How was the drive to the airport when you dropped off Caty?" She asked me as I helped her get settled in for a minute.

"It was good. She just needed reassurance that I'd be alright, ya know?" She nodded after I told her how it went. I led her to my bedroom. I held her hand while I gave her the house tour. At some point she ordered food which I tried my best to argue with her on. Lillie won at some point during the argument so, I gave in.

-

"You didn't have to..." I tell her indicating that she didn't have to buy us food. But, what I said meant more then just food.

"I insist. I don't have a lot of friends..." I thought Lillie was beautiful in this lighting. The way her eyes sparkle, her laugh, smile, how she is. I just couldn't stop admiring her. I noticed her cheeks were turning a bright pink colour as she looked away.

"Why are you doing that?" She asked me taking a sip from her soda. I tucked a loose strand of hair behind her hair which got her to stop what she was doing. Her attention fully on me.

"Because you're beautiful," I responded. She was flustered which I thought was adorable to see her emotions. I smiled taking her drink away from her setting it on the nightstand. She licked her lips nervously turning to the television to watch whatever was on. I moved the Maccas bag to my nightstand as I lied down to continue watching the movie. She turned off the lamp that was next to her. And then moved towards me laying her head on my chest. Her arm wrapped around me.

"Is it bad to be nervous?" I asked her quietly as I ran my fingers through her hair. I was still focused on the TV screen.

"About what?" She asked moving a little bit so she can look at me.

"I've never done this before..." I finally confessed. She smiled resting her head back on my chest.

"Nothing is wrong with being nervous, Cass," I was relieved that she didn't judge me for being non-experienced with everything. It felt like she understood me in a way Caty couldn't. And I liked that.
