38. Lunch

Caty Jones' POV

"Is he here yet?" I asked Cassandra looking around the parking lot. It reminded me of high school. I felt like a teenage girl again waiting anxiously for her teenage boyfriend to arrive. But, that's not the case now. We're both adults.

"I see him now," She said rolling her eyes at me. I turn my head to see him pulling into the car park behind us. I got out rushing to Caleb immediately. Once he got out, we both tackled each other in a hug. It felt so good to be embraced by him. He smelt wonderful as well.

"Are we ready?" He asked. I nod as we turn to see Cassandra walking towards us holding Nicole's hand. She smiles at us both like she's gotten the best gift on the planet.

"Yeah, I'd say so," Cass replies letting go of Nicole's hand as Caleb picks her up as we walk into the restaurant together.

Caleb Finn's POV:

We all were laughing over a story Caty was telling about Nicole's first birthday. Nicole was eating casually.

"So, you're telling me that Nicole Fell head first into her cake and started crying?" I asked looking between Cass and Caty. Cass wipes her mouth with a napkin.

"Yeah. It was hilarious though. She did eat some cake though," We all glanced towards Nicole who was coloring on the paper they gave her. I turn towards Caty as she casually eats her food.

"Is it alright if I take you until eight?" I asked her. Her eyes widen in surprise as she glances towards Cass as if that were alright with her. I turn my head to look at Cass and she winks at Caty.

"Sure," She replied with an awkward smile. I smiled in return giving Nicole a hug. When we pull away she goes to Caty.

"Mom has some errands to run. I'll be back before bed," She squats down and tells Nicole.

"Promise?" She asks.

Caty hugs her tightly before they both pull away staring at each other, "Promise."

"Okay, I love you," She says.

"I love you too," Caty replies planting a kiss on her cheek before she goes with Cass as they both go towards her car. She was watching Nicole get into Cass' vehicle.

"So, what are we doing?" Caty asked me. As we began walking to my car.

"Today is a surprise. But, when five o'clock comes around..." I got close to her ear and whispered, "You'll be completely Satisfied." I walked away from her and smiled realizing I made her skin shiver. We both got into my car and headed off to our next destination.
