Cassandra's POV

"Please? You could meet my family and I could say I didn't want you alone for Christmas. Which I don't," Lillie has been begging me for the past two days that I go with her to visit her family for Christmas. I really didn't want to considering I'm just now getting comfortable with liking girls just as much as I do guys.
I don't want them assuming anything. It also has to do with the fact that it's Caleb's family, "My family automatically assumed I was bringing a friend, quoting you. I gave them a heads up."

I groan after she said that "What's in it for me?" I asked with a smirk on my face.

"More heated sessions in the bedroom?" I shook my head no which made her pout a little, "We can spend New Years together." I really didn't want to barge into Caleb's family reunion but since Lillie begged me. I sigh rolling my eyes playfully.

"Deal," I tell her. She hugs me tightly which I gratefully grab her back holding her. She's lucky I like her enough to deal with her.

"We leave in three hours," She tells me. My eyes widen as I pull away from the hug. I stare at her like she's a maniac because it takes forever for a girl to get ready.

"How long will we be staying there for?" I asked her before deciding suitcase or carry-on.

"Until the 26th," she answered. I nodded grabbing her hand as we rushed into my bedroom to help me pack.

"I'm all packed. Are you sure it's alright I could go with you?" I asked her wanting reassurance that she's alright with me being there.

She shyly smiled, "Yes, I don't want you alone on Christmas." I smiled back noticing she's being honest with me. We both started to slowly lean into each other. My eyes began focusing on her lips... her eyes kept glancing back and forth from my eyes to my lips. But, her eyes would linger longer on my lips. We both were a centimeter apart.

Her phone started ringing destroying the moment between us. She backed up answering the phone.

"Hey, Caleb!" She left the room. I sat down on the couch trying to think what would've happened if he hadn't called.

"He's here," She tells me. I nod as we both to grab our bags exiting the house. She left before me, I grabbed my keys locking the door putting them in my bag afterwards. As the both of us got into the backseat of Caleb's vehicle.

"Where's Caty?" He asked me.

"Out of town," I replied. He nodded roaring his engine before leaving my neighborhood.

I couldn't stop thinking about the almost kiss incident that occurred in my living room not even five minutes ago. It's been so long since I've last kissed someone. This made the wait so worth it.

Caleb Finn's POV

What the actual fuck? Out of town? Since when? How long? Where to? I had so many questions flying through my mind. She did tell me how her Mum was with her siblings. Evelyn is in America and Aiden is in prison. I shake off the fact Caty could be in America, but I don't think it's possible. Unless she had the money and passport for it.

Why would she take off without me knowing? I'm upset that I may be the only one who didn't know about it. I glance at the backseat to see Cass and Lillie staring out the window. Did something happen in the house? They're making the car ride silent. It's very uncomfortable. I turn on a song from Hayley Kiyoko. Just to make the awkward silence go away.

Caty Jones' POV

It's nearly two in the morning. It felt foreign not being with those I loved and cared about. I'm happy here with my Dad and Evelyn, and her girlfriend. It doesn't feel the same, ya know? Homesickness is definitely real... it's so different here...

~ Flashbacks ~

"I feel like The Mario Bros is definitely better than Legend of Zelda," I say to Caleb. We were sitting in front of a bunch of his games looking at them.

"Don't even pull that card, Caty. Legend of Zelda is much better," He said to me. I got up running out of the room. Grabbed a handful of water ran into his game room throwing the water at him. He was shocked. He put the game down took off his glasses and that's when I need to run. I ran down the steps hearing him come after me. I was near the pool. I took my shoes off putting my phone in them and my wallet. I wondered where he went when I felt him wrap his arms around me. I squealed and screamed laughing.

"Put me down!" I exclaimed.

"Alright." I was thrown into the pool. When I came back to the surface I saw him taking off his professional pants off. Leaving him in just his briefs. He jumped in next to me causing me to squeal because I got splashed.

"You're rude."

"Excuse me?! You're the one who started this, Caty," He said to me. I smiled splashing him in the face swimming away.

~ Flashback ends ~

"I miss you," I mumbled while staring at the sky. I sighed shaking my head as I walked back inside.

Cassandra's POV

"Welcome Cassandra! You can sleep in a guest room if you'd like... anything in the fridge is yours. Except dinner... and I hope you enjoy," She smiled at me before leaving.

"Thanks," I said as Lillie smiled at me.

"C'mon!" She said in excitement grabbing my wrist dragging me away. I noticed Caleb and his Mum talking. I sighed hoping nothing was made obvious.
