Continuation of Mary & Rose - IV

The look on the Doctor's face was priceless, it was one of surprise, shock and confusion, and one that Mary was not shy on snickering about, though she did hide it behind her mug. "Who is it?" Jackie calls from her room, genuine curiousity evident in her words, Mary watching as the Doctor put his strange object back inside his leather jacket.

"It's about last night, he's part of the inquiry. Give us 10 minutes." Rose replied, poking her head inside her mother's room while the Doctor turned to look at Mary, his blue eyes squinting slightly at her before Jackie declared in a motherly tone "They deserves compensation." Bringing the Doctor's attention to her while Rose walked towards the brunette, despair and annoyance clear on her face.

Rose began to quickly tidy up, not giving Mary a chance to help as the rushed around her before the Doctor joined them in the living room, Rose motioning to the sofa with her hand, a sign that Mary took as in sit down, which she gladly did. "Don't mind the mess. Do you want a coffee?" The blonde then asks, walking past the strange man whose eyes locked once more on the brunette, a frown growing on his face as they always seemed to lock on her figure when she was in the room.

"Might as well, thanks! Just milk." he replies,  "We should go to the police. Seriously. The three of us." Rose called from the kitchen, while the Doctor snooped in the living room, moving around checking things, watching Mary from the corner of his eye while she watched him amused. He then picked up a magazine from the table, flickered through the pages and muttered "That won't last, he's gay and she's an alien."

Realizing his words he seemed to freeze, his eyes moving yet again to Mary, the brunette looking up at him with wide saucer like eyes, jaw slacked and face void of any lively colour. "I'm not blaming you, even if it was just some sort of joke that went wrong." Rose continued from the kitchen, "You.... Aliens...." Mary gapped at him, setting the mug on the table and pushing herself up, the Doctor seemed frozen, his mouth refusing to follow the instructions his brain was giving him.

"How do you know she's an alien?" Mary pressed, her eyes narrowing at the man before him, watching as he dropped the magazine on the ground. "They said on the news they'd found a body. Poor Wilson. All the same, he was nice. Nice bloke." Rose continued to rant in the kitchen. "It'd take an alien to know an alien wouldn't it." Mary mused, an amused smile breaking onto her features, shocking the Doctor more than he would care to admit. Most human's he met nearly went into shock at the news that he was an alien, none of them, however, put it together themselves nor this fast.

"What are you?" the Doctor couldn't help but inquire, she looked human to him, everything about her screamed human, but there was just something about her, something he couldn't quite place his finger on that screamed not-human. "What do you mean? I'm as human as everyone else in this planet." Mary chuckled, deepening the feeling that the Doctor was feeling regarding her not being human.

He was about to comment when a rapid tapping noise reached their ears, both their heads turning to the sofa that rested against the wall, the moment long gone as they now paid attention to the strange noise. "Stay back." he ordered, his voice coming out as over-protective for some reason, not that Mary listened, no, she rolled her eyes at him and kneeled on the sofa, peering behind it through the small space that it had between it and the wall.

An arm, the same plastic arm that Rose chucked away when she and Mary ran away from Henrik's leaped from the couch towards Mary's thin cream sweater, causing her to fall back, off the couch and back first onto the ground with a startled gasp. The Doctor quickly kneels on the ground and begins to pull at the arm, attempting to force it to detach itself from Mary's shirt, something that had her snapping at him "Don't you dare rip this sweater."

Usually, the Doctor would have had a quip to reply with, but in that moment he only really cared about getting the brunette human that he'd met last night out of harm's way. Rose was still in the kitchen oblivious to the events in the living room, as was Jackie who had her own bedroom telly on and turned on her blow-drier, both of them truly exemplifying the ignorance that the human race had.

The arm let go of Mary's sweater only to turn around and attach itself onto the Doctor's neck, squeezing it with its plastic fingers, breathless and angry to see that her sweater had indeed ripped due to the arm and the Doctor, Mary sat up and clawed at the plastic arm angrily. Her eyes had turned into slits, angry slits that terrified the Doctor more than the arm itself, the words "I'm going to burn you 'till your nothing but a nude puddle." that left her lips not helping his fear for her, especially since vemon and anger seemed to drip into each word.

Strangely enough, the arms seemed to have understood her, merely because it released the Doctor from his hold before tapping his way out of their line of sight. "Are you alright?" the Doctor questioned hoarsely, rubbing his throat while checking the brunette for injuries, confusion towards his own actions blooming in his chest, "Not until I find that plastic and burn it." she snapped, "Both it and you ruined my brand new sweater." her brown slits narrowing at him in accusation.

The tapping was heard again as Rose walked into the living, her brows flying up as a sneaky and amused smile grew on her face, the sight before her was a disheveled Mary, something that was new to her, and a breathless stranger named Doctor. Her eyes glowed with teasing, something she was ready to do until she saw the look of sheer anger and terror that flashed on Mary.

Rose's vision was then ceased by a nude yellow coloured object, unknowingly to her the cause of Mary's disheveled looks, the object, the hand covering her face and the fingers flexing so they gripped her face. Shock and fear that shot through her body caused her to drop the mugs with coffee and stumble back into the archway that led to the kitchen.

The Doctor and Mary quickly jumping on their feet and rushing to her, Mary gripping the arm like a death claw and the Doctor using his strange cylinder thing to make the hand stop moving, allowing Mary to pull it away from Rose without actually harming her. "It's alright, I've stopped it." The Doctor attempted to soothe, "It's 'armless now." his attempt didn't work because the second Mary had a breathless and still scared Rose in her arms she whacked his arm with the plastic one while shooting him a nasty glare.
