Continuation of Mary & Rose - X
The Consciouness flobbles around a bit, clearly replying to Doctor, merely because he said after "Thank you. That I might have permission to approach." The Consciousness flobbled more in reply. Meanwhile, as Rose paces around in the background, sticking close to Mary, she spots Mickey, not wasting a second more before running to him, making the Doctor rolls his eyes and Mary slap his arm harshly. "Oh, my God! Mickey! It's me, it's okay! It's alright!" The blonde whispers, half soothingly as she squats down next to him.
"That thing down there, the liquid, Rose, it can talk!" Mickey whimpered as he clung onto Rose, his eyes flicking quickly to Mary, who descended the stairs calmly heading towards the two, and the Doctor, who descended behind Mary and looked like he was going to continue walking down the stairs. "You're stinking!" Rose whispered, content that he was alive and well, rather traumatized but well. "Mary, they kept him alive! Just like you said." the blonde commented to the brunette smiling softly, "Told you they would, didn't I?" Mary replied softly, her tone so soft it would seem she was talking to a child.
"Can we keep the domestics outside, thank you?" The Doctor commented just before he started to descent the last flight of stairs, Mary shot him a short glare as Rose helped Mickey to his feet, the trio leaning over the railing to look at the Doctor just as he approached the ledge of the platform bellow.
"Am I addressing the Consciousness?" The alien man questioned, quickly thanking the Consciousness the second after it replied and continuing "If I might observe, you infiltrated this civilization by means of warped, shunt technology. So, may I suggest, with the greatest respect, that you shunt off?" Mary and Rose quietly snickered at his choice of words while Mickey looked at the like the two women had each grown three heads.
The plastic globbered in what appeared to be a negative manner, over and over again as the Doctor continued to talk "Oh don't give me that, it's an invasion! Plain and simple! Don't talk about constitutional rights!" Soon forming what seems like a head and rearing it back angrily causing the Doctor who say rather angrily in an authoritative tone that had all three humans shivering in their bones "I. Am. Talking!"
This successfully made the consciousness stop moving, allowing the Doctor to continue slightly more calmly "This planet is just starting. These stupid little people have only just learnt how to walk, but they're capable of so much more. I'm asking you on their behalf - please, just go." Two Autons approached the Doctor from behind in an attempt to sneak in on him, which would have been slightly more successful had Rose not warned him by calling out his name. Despite the, albeit late, warning, the autons restrained the Doctor's arms, one of them even, almost knowingly, slipping his plastic hand inside the duster and pulling out the anti-plastic.
The Consciousness roared once more, this time, the fires that were giving a little more lightning to the hideout flashed brighter as the Doctor defended himself "That was just insurance! I wasn't going to USE it. I was not attacking you. I'm here to help. I'm not your enemy. I swear, I'm not..." The Nestene roared a few more times causing both the Doctor and Mary to frown before a door near to where the human trio were to open, revealing the TARDIS as a light flashed on it.
"How'd they get the TARDIS?" Mary muttered under her breath as the Doctor claimed "Oh, oh no, honestly, no! Yes, that's my ship." At those words Mickey looked at the women in confusion, the fear still evident in his face as the two women muttered "He's alien." The plastic continued to roar making the Doctor defend "That's not true. I should know, I was there. I fought in the war. It wasn't my fault! I couldn't save your world! I couldn't save any of them!"
