Continuation of Mary & Rose - VI
To see the Doctor jump out of his skin was something that Mary would pay a million pounds to see on repeat, the look of shock, fear and confusion that flashed on his face as he turned to her was simply something that was too comical not to want to see again. His blue eyes connected with her brown ones and she could see that he was beyond confused at this predicament, "You should really be more aware of your surroundings if you're going to kidnap a woman." she teased.
"I didn't kidnap you." he protested, his brow flying up his forehead in utter confusion, Mary could only laugh at him as she did her best not to double over, something that proved to be incredibly difficult because the look on his face was comical.
Instead of saying anything, the chocolate-skinned woman chose to raise their connected hands so that he would see them, watching as a strange blush covered his cheeks, tinging the top of his ears pink as well, "You grabbed mine and Rose's hands to make us feel the turn of the planet, dropped her but not mine." she teased once more.
The more Mary said things the more confused the doctor became, he rarely acted this way, in fact he couldn't remember the last time he acted like this. Slowly he let go of Mary's hand, instantly feeling a cold breeze spread through his body, the weird feeling flashing through him as he did so.
At this Mary smirked at him and finally allowed herself to look around the strange place the Doctor had dragged her inside, "The outside is a police box," she commented, walking around what seemed to be the console, "The inside is this alien-y space." The Doctor could only stare at her as she moved, watching as Mary carried herself elegantly but dragged her feet slightly.
When she reached him once more, after going around the console she smirked at him "Am I correct to assume that it's dimensionaly transcendental?" If possible the look of shock and confusion on the Doctor's face deepened as he looked at the brunette, but before he could say anything Mary quickly remarked "I read a lot on the job."
It was a lie, one that even the Doctor could taste, causing him to snap out of his haze and raise a brow questioning "I didn't know that humans had discovered the concept of transcendental dimensions." it wasn't a question for Mary to answer, both of them knew that, but still she deepened her smirk and replied "We haven't."
"Are you taking me to a galaxy far far away Doctor?" she teased, her brown eyes sparkling with amusement as the Doctor took in her every words, trying to understand what was happening, "Do you want me to take you to a galaxy far far away?" the Doctor found himself flirting back, truly shocking himself as he had always refrained from flirting with his companions or possible companions.
To him, not only was this body new but also this flirty side of him that came out to play every time he saw Mary, he couldn't help it, his eyes instantly locked on her the first time he saw her in the two times they've met and he couldn't fathom why.
Her lack of fright or curiosity to him being an alien or his spaceship left him confused but made him happy that he didn't have to go through all of that once more.
"I think that's where we're headed since you haven't touched the console once since becoming aware of my presence." At her true words the Doctor's widened and he instantly turned his attention to the console, dragging his eyes from the teasing and mysterious brunette to his beloved console.
A whimsical hum echoed through the console room, filling both their ears.
