Chapter thirty five - Findri's Predicament

Y/n pov

You were back before everyone else and hid your cloak in your bag making it look like you were just wandering around the grounds. You decided to rest and went to the Slytherin dorms but were shocked by who you saw.

"Draco?" You asked.

"Yeah?" He said putting down his book.

"What are you doing here?" you asked walking closer to the couch.

"Well, I knew you couldn't make it to Hogsmeade so thought why not make sure you were doing okay, only I couldn't find you." He said simply.

"I'm so sorry. If I knew I would've been here." You told him truthfully.

"It's fine, you've been working yourself to the bone recently." He laughed.

"What's that mean?"  You asked.

"It means someone had to carry you to your bedroom." He said and you realized.

"That was you?"

"Yeah, with Montague hanging around, I don't trust the slippery bastard." Draco said making you laugh.

"Glad we can agree on something." You said as you plopped yourself down beside him.

"You know, as much as I hate Montague, he's got one thing right." Draco said looking at you.

"Which is?" you asked with your arms crossed.

"You'd be amazing on the quidditch team."

"Heh, I know." You laughed.

"How'd you do in Snape's mock O.W.L?" Draco asked.

"O. What about you?" You asked Draco.

"O." He said simply.

"Did you really doubt my potion making skills?" You asked lightly pushing him.

"No," He laughed. "you're smart, really I just wanted to make sure Snape wasn't holding you back because of you being a smartass."

"Oh, come on, you know you like it when I'm a smart ass." You said teasingly.

"I do?" he asked.

"Yeah! You like me." You said fake shocked.

"I do."

"Yeah, I mean after five years you ought to." You giggled.

"Hey, I was thinking do you want to get some fresh air?"  He asked.

"Yes." You smiled hopping up from the couch.

You and Draco went on a walk outside and then he tripped making you both fall on top of eachother which was funny until you noticed a think black tie around his neck.

You pulled on it and you saw a Key, like the one he gave you. You pulled out yours and they were the same. You then looked into his eyes and saw a faint glow coming from both Keys.

"You never did tell me about the enchantment you put on these?" You stated pulling him up off the ground.

"... The train will be coming back soon... can we talk in our place." He said making you nod.

"Yes." You smiled and you both ran to the astronomy tower.

You and him stood at the top letting the autumn breeze flow through you.

"So... what's the enchantment?" You asked.

"Well, whenever you are around people you like, or love the brighter the key shines. But when you fall in love, really fall in love and admit it. The key will transform into what you feel for your partner. Namely a heart." He told you.
