Y/n pov
You were going about your day when you McGonagall called over to you.
"Y/n where is professor Snape?"
"Probably in his office right now." You told her.
"Go fetch him tell him Montague has been found stuck inside a toilet on the fourth floor," McGonagall said.
"Haha."
"Don't go laughing about it," McGonagall said shortly
"Yes, professor."
You walked over and down to Snape's office and opened the door. When you did you see Snape and Harry you realized you intruded on Harry's Occolumency lesson.
"What is it L/n?" Snape asked coldly.
"Oh Umbridge and McGonagall want you on the fourth floor, Montague was found stuck in a toilet." You told him.
"And you had nothing to do with that?" he asked you.
"Of course I had nothing to do with that." You replied.
"Like you had nothing to do with Montague's broken nose and other various injuries to his head and groin?" Snape asked making you smile and shake your head.
"...I was just wondering the halls, Professor, I think you'd know if I had anything to do with this one... not to say that I did in fact have anything to do with the last one." You told him and he looked impressed and like he was desperately trying not to smile.
"Very well, Potter we will continue this lesson tomorrow night," Snape said before giving you a light smile.
Snape left and Harry was wondering close to this pensive on his desk as soon as you saw Harry move towards it, you attempt to stop him.
"Harry, whatever it is you're thinking it's a bad idea, with Dumbledore gone we don't need to be raising any more trouble," You warned him.
"Oh, as if you had nothing to do with Montague in that toilet."
"I didn't. I don't lie about that sort of stuff Harry at least not to snap and not to you."
"Listen to, Snape gone, so is Dumbledore maybe this can help me find some of the answers I'm looking for."
Without another moment's notice, Harry plunged his head into the pensive. You overtaken by his stupidity went over to try to pull him out but subconsciously he gripped onto the desk making it incredibly hard for you. Not wanting to get too physical with him you knew there's only one other way to get him out if he wanted to come out himself. so you to put your head into the pensive to see what was going on. Granted you felt horrible about looking through someone else's private memories.
You were transported to what looked to be the Great Hall except there were no big four tables in which each house would sit instead there were more than a hundred smaller tables, all facing the same way, I teach and sat a student, head bent low scribbling on a roll of parchment. The only sound was a scratching of quills and the occasional rustle as somebody adjusted their parchment. It was clearly exam time.
Sunshine was streaming in through the high windows on top of bent heads, heads would shine chestnut, copper and gold in the bright light, Harry looked around carefully. Snape had to be somewhere in here, as it was his memory.
Just a couple rows behind you, you could see Harry and of course the young Professor Snape, his hair still dark and greasy and his hooked nose, barely half an inch above parchment, he was writing faster than you ever write, you wondered how coherent his words truly were, as you read the top of the page Defence Against the Dark Arts - Ordinary Wizarding Levels.
