"did you sleep well?" haeyoung asked lucas as she stepped foot into the kitchen, pouring herself some milk while jungwoo was placing the pancakes on the plate.

"of course! jungwoo's bed is soft. what mattress do you use?"

instead of a reply, jungwoo let out a loud sigh and messily drizzled maple syrup on the pancake and gave it to lucas.

"eat up."

"is there poison in this?"

"i wish," jungwoo rolled his eyes.

haeyoung took the sliced fruits and placed it on the table along with jungwoo's and her plate. she was tired of their bickering and she hoped that they could just eat in silence.

it was fairly quiet with just the chirping of the birds outside but of course, there can never be any peace and quiet with lucas around.

"the table is too quiet," lucas announced and stood up.

"lucas no, it's only 9am please give us a brea-"

"LETS TURN IT UP!" lucas cut haeyoung off, turning on his music playlist and blasting it to its fullest volume while connected to a speaker. and that was how the three received numerous complains from the neighbours, telling them to keep it down before they file a complaint to the cops.

so much for inviting lucas over.

"what are you guys doing here-" haeyoung stopped her sentence midway, staring at the four boys standing in front of her door.

"we were bored," haechan simply replied her, allowing himself to enter her house with jeno, mark and renjun following behind.

"this is to make up for the loss of our presence yesterday." renjun patted her head and gave her a smug smile.

"we were fine without you guys though? we had fun yesterday," haeyoung retorted and took his hands off her head.

"it'll be more fun today then," mark grinned.

"but where's jungwoo?" jeno wondered, noticing that the house was oddly quieter than usual.

"he's taking lucas home,"

"he stayed here overnight?" renjun asked in amusement, eyes widening.

"yeah, he even stayed for breakfast."

"aw man, i knew i should've came here earlier," renjun pushed his bottom lip out, a pout forming.

"i'm actually glad you didn't, we got three complaints from our neighbours this morning," haeyoung rolled her eyes at the thought of that.

"how come?" mark chortled.

"lucas was probably being loud again or something," haechan flicked his hair that was covering his eyes, making it seem like he flipped his hair intentionally.

"correct. so, what do you guys want to do?"

the four exchanged glances.

"we actually don't have a plan..." jeno smiled sheepishly and rubbed his nape.

"why am i not surprised. well, jungwoo bought a new washing machine the other week and it arrived on wednesday, but neither of us unboxed it so should we go set it up then?"

"i don't see why not," mark spoke.

"yeah exactly, we have jeno with us, he's strong." renjun shrugged blatantly.

haeyoung clasped her hands together and led the boys to the back of her kitchen where the cardboard box with a washing machine inside was placed.

the five of them started to unbox the package, followed by taking the washing machine out and mark looking at the instructions on how the washing machine works.

"usually when you purchase furniture like this, wouldn't there be a handyman to help out?" haechan questioned in agitation, getting tired of the lifting and pushing.

"we need to pay extra for that, and you know jungwoo and i aren't exactly the richest." haeyoung explained to the impatient haechan.

"and finally, we're done!" renjun cheered and let out a sigh of relief.

"sorry to burst your bubble, but we still have to discard the old one," haeyoung gave renjun a pat on the back.

renjun let out a groan and tousled his hair, making it messy.

"haeyoung, i'm home! whose shoes are these?" jungwoo shouted from the porch.

"oh! welcome back home! mark, jeno, renjun and haechan are over!" haeyoung shouted back to jungwoo.

jungwoo entered the kitchen and noticed the five of them sweating and he cringed, but his gaze shifted to the new and unboxed washing machine.

"you guys unboxed it already? that's nice! i was planning to make haeyoung open it today," jungwoo smiled proudly.

"do you want to lend a helping hand and help us throw this old one out?" haeyoung asked.

"just leave it there for now, i'll throw it out tomorrow. good job guys! you can rest now," jungwoo praised them and went to the living room.

mark raised his hands and high-fived the four others.

"guys, should we try to mail mark?" haechan smirked, a crazy idea popping into his head.

"what?" jeno and mark asked simultaneously in disbelief.

"the box is big enough for mark to fit inside," renjun laughed, agreeing with haechan's idea.

before mark could even reply, haechan pulled mark and shoved him in the box. "stay still. haeyoung do you have tape?"

"i can go check,"

"haeyoung, you agree with them?" mark gasped, offended.

"i mean, it is kind of funny. and i want to see if it's even possible," haeyoung told him, jeno agreeing.

"i seriously hate you guys."

haeyoung came back with the tape and scissors, passing it to haechan and renjun.

"mark, stop moving around,"

after awhile, they finally managed to tape the box close.

"can you breathe?" haeyoung asked while peeking through the small opening, checking on mark.

"yeah, i think so."

haechan, renjun and jeno lifted up the box, but because renjun didn't hold it properly, the box toppled over.

"what sound was that?" jungwoo asked, getting up from the couch.

"it was just a box," jeno replied.

"that definitely sounded louder than a box,"

"i was inside the box." mark crawled out of the box, sweating and breathing heavily.
