"so, you're saying that you're together now?" haechan repeated, clarifying that he heard them correctly and it was not his ears playing tricks on him. the seven of them were currently outside a convenience store, eating ice cream and chatting. since jeno was grounded, he was on video call with them instead.
"yeah, we are." jaemin smiled and looked at haeyoung as if she was the only one there, ignoring all his friends' commotion. so much love and admiration was filled in his eyes, he was basically the heart-eyed emoji at this point.
"why are you looking at me like that?"
"i don't- you're just really pretty, haeyoung."
she chuckled and looked away, clearly flustered.
"gross," renjun muttered under his breath.
"shut up, single boy. you're just jealous." jaemin kicked his shin under the table.
"that hurts!" renjun hissed.
"hold on," jeno paused, catching the attention of the seven that were caught up in their own conversations.
"so jaemin's crush has been haeyoung all along?" he asked, confusion was contorted all over his face.
"holy shit, why didn't we think of that," haechan gasped.
"right! haeyoung is literally the only girl he talks to," renjun placed his head on his palm, slouching.
"damn, jaemin is really good at hiding his feelings," mark said.
"how long have you liked her for?" the seven looked at him in anticipation.
"...secret." jaemin smirked, causing the other boys to go crazy. not because of his smirk, but because he didn't answer them with an actual answer.
"what?"
"oh come on!"
"why're you so secretive?"
"you're driving me insane, jaemin,"
"when did you find out jaemin had a crush, jeno?" chenle asked the boy behind the screen.
"uhh 2 weeks before valentine's day if i'm not wrong?" even he wasn't sure.
the rest were still being noisy as usual, causing some passerby's to turn their heads and let out a disappointed sigh.
amidst all the noises made, haeyoung heard a notification go off on her phone. she opened the message and noticed it was from an unknown number.
