This is my first self-insertion story. I am the main character in it. It also includes a character based on a friend....this work is pure fiction except for the personalities of the characters.
Maria travels to Finland leaving behind all she knew on...
Maria was especially nervous today. Time flew by and she was to meet Ville's parents and his brother Jesse, today. She gulped not wanting anything to go wrong. Earlier that week she had bought each of them presents a new record vinyl player, for sir Kari, a vintage tea set with tea bags for Lady Anita, and a fitness set for Muay Thai boxing for Jesse.

Ville had found the presents and although he was grateful he had told her over and over that she shouldn't have, but of course, Maria knew that he was grateful, she had even gotten Ville a pair of new beanies and an acoustic guitar care kit.

"This is all so kind of you love, but please you really do not have to do this every time, promise me, I know you have your own bills to pay," Ville said and only ceased when Maria told him that it was only right to bring presents as it was her first time going to visit his family and that he better get used to her spoiling him when she could.
"I just hope they like me," she said bashfully as Ville held her chin up and kissed her gently "they will," he said as the cab that would take them to his parent's home greeted them. Maria was nervous the whole way, she had so much to thank sir Kari and lady Anita for, if it was not for them, she would have never met Ville, they were the reason her divine angel existed.
Upon arriving at their home, she felt her heart skip a beat when she finally got to greet his lovely family they were all so kind and welcoming, her heart was full. They thanked them profusely for the thoughtful presents and Jesse asked her what her plans were as Ville seemed to hope that they included him, which made Ville blush and hide his face.
"I would love to stay here but, of course, there are times when I will have to visit my folks, they live in the states. However, I cannot leave for my heart is here" she said looking at an increasingly bashful Finnish angel. "All I can say is that I haven't seen my boy this happy in a while," sir Kari said, "He really feels comfortable with you," lady Anita added. Maria sighed so happy that they held her in such high regard but more than anything so happy that she was in his life.
"So welcome to our family," Jesse said "we hope you are here to stay and keep V happy" he added to which Maria nodded smiling, that is all she ever wanted, to make her prince happy.
"I tend not to get involved in my son's life, but if those tabloids give you any trouble, I will not hesitate to straighten them up for you," lady Anita said, Maria could tell she was a fierce, independent woman, and kind woman. She gulped hoping one day to be as strong as that, "You are family now" sir Kari said, and in him, she could see the fortitude and kindness of Ville and Jesse. If she could melt anymore she would have done so by now, she was just so happy.
Maria held back her tears, honestly being blessed with so much was a bit overwhelming and at one point she had to go dry her tears, in solitude, she really hoped this bliss would last, and yet like everything, she was afraid it be marred, Maria shook her head trying to not taboo what happiness they had.
Lady Anita, Sir Kari, and dear Jesse made Maria promise she would visit more often, even when Ville was off on tour. After promising that she would be honored to do so, they departed, "So I guess I can ask you if you want to be my girl now" Ville said as they stood outside his parent's home.
"I thought I already was," Maria said her hands around his shoulders "I just, call me old-fashioned but I wanted to officially ask you," Ville said blushing more "Then yes, yes I want to be your girl, your friend, your lover, your accomplice, your soulmate, your support, yes I want to be your everything if you let me," Maria said her face inches from his, "I thought you already were" he replied kissing her forehead "Let's go home, I want to hold you and be close to you, tonight," he said sending shivers down her spine "I want that too," she said and they did just that
"Kultaseni," Ville said as they sat on the couch wrapped around each other, though Maria was still not yet brave enough to lay with him, she wanted to make him happy on that special night, and he wanted to make it special for her as well "Yes, Rakkani," she said hoping her practice with Ville in Finnish was having some results as he smiled at her, "Thank you," he said kissing the top of her head softly "For what my love," she said smiling at him, loving the feeling of just being held by him "For being in my life," he said "Ditto" she replied as they fell asleep for a bit in the light of the chimney fire.
