"Who is gonna' talk to him?" Harry grunts from across the table, eyes dark.

"Talking? Who said we're talking?" Louis scoffs, clicking down on the barrel of his gun.

"Guys stop." Scarlett mumbles, rubbing her eyes. "For all we know he could just be carrying around a knife. He isn't smart enough to con us all for this long."

"It all makes sense Scarlett. He was abruptly put into Declan's gang when he was up with O'Brien. Max had a decent gang goin' for him up there but dropped it for an old racing gang?" Louis scoffs to her. "He ain't innocent at all."

"Who knew we'd get conned by Max?" Harry mutters to himself, almost pulling at his hair. "We thought he was the idiot the entire time when really we all were."

"We don't know Max is behind this so stop making assumptions." Scarlett says in a small voice and we all knew she was hurt by this. She looked so incredibly upset that her best friend may have betrayed her. I knew what she felt like.

Max wasn't this guy they were suddenly saying he was. He's a genuine person who wouldn't ever conduct such crimes. I don't understand how it all linked to him.

"Shark mentioned him." I murmur out from my silent position next to Louis who looked furious.

"What do you mean?" Zayn questions.

"Shark said that Max was behind me getting shot." I huff out, looking up to him and he nods about.

"Don't even think of it Malik. I'm killing him." Louis sneers over to his best friend who looked as if he were more than deep in thought.

"If you kill Max then I kill you." Scarlett glares over to him. "Just let him talk before you jump to conclusions. Malik, you know Shark bullshits to stir trouble. It's all he does."

"Zayn please let him talk." I huff over to him and our eyes meet, mine pleading.

His intense stare was cut short by the sound of keys belonging to Scarlett and Liam's place and the door opening and closing. I winced, not wanting to hear or see how they were going to tackle this.

He was whistling as he came in, grunting and then begins to talk to himself. It didn't make sense.

"What's everyone doing here?" He chuckles as he enters the room, looking about at the angered faces in the room.

"You're so fucking dead." Louis whispers out, clenching down on his fist.

Scarlett springs up, watching Louis and Zayn carefully before she grabs onto Max's shoulder, and shoves him down on the spare seat at the end of the table.

"Are you okay?" Max quickly asks Scarlett who had previously sent him a cryptic text to get him over to her house in the first place.

"Yeah I'm fine, just, just sit." She mutters, looking down as he does just that, looking about scarcely.

"How did you go today at the school?" Max asks me and I shrug.

"I called in sick. Something came up." I murmur, glancing over to Zayn who nodded at the words he told me to say.

"Oh..." He trails off before looking about at everyone. "Are you guys sitting us down to tell us about you two?" He asks, pointing between Zayn and I. My eyes roll considering I spent a considerable amount of time this morning trying to tell him nothing happened.

"What happened?" Harry snaps out.

"They were in bed together last night?" Max questions slowly, looking as if he thought Harry would know already.
