As soon as my dreams turned to that familiar, dimly lit hallway, I thought my dreams would be the same as always. Then again, this dream felt different.

For one, the copy of me was nowhere to be seen. I also couldn't find the man. The only thing that was the same was the hallway.

Instead of going through the same door, something turned me toward the door to my right. The door popped open and became cracked.

I didn't want to go any further. Something invisible pushed me from behind, though. Before I knew it, the door was thrown open and I was tossed in.

Except, this wasn't a room. It was the outside. I realized that I was standing on a single stone at the edge of a cliff.

I glances down at the void below. I couldn't make out anything below. I wanted to move away from the edge, but I couldn't move.

     Please don't let me fall.

As soon as the thought crossed through my mind, a hand brushed against my back, shoving me forward.

My limbs flailed as I fell backwards, gripping at air. Nothing was there for me to hold on to. All I could do wad fall.

     "Help me!" I screamed out.

Something told me that no one could save me. I was going to die.

     "Airlia!"

I heard the voice call out in the abyss, but it was too late. I was already halfway gone. No one could save me as the wind was whirling all around me, and I was sucked into the black nithingness.

My back collided with the rocky ground, but I was still alive. I groaned as I slowly moved to my feet, taking in my surroundings.

I noticed that I was surrounded by trenches like the ones in the fields. They were submerged in the muddy ground.

Everything seemed dead here. The ground was shriveled up. The trees looked like skeletons, for they did not bare a single leaf. The sky above seemed pitch black.

Clumps of mud in the ground seemed to start moving. When this caught my attention, they froze. The sky began to weep, and the mud moved towards me.

I gasped as I tried to move back, but found myself glued to the spot. I couldn't break free. It was as if the mud was holding my feet down.

I watched in horror as the clumps of mud began to take shape. Each clump began to mold itself into a figure.

There was finally a group of pale, twisted-form people standing right in front of more. They all simultaneously opened their eyes to reveal holes. Nothing was in place of their eyes.

I wanted to scream, but I was too horrified. A flash of lightening forked across the sky, and the creatures began closing in on me.

Their souless eyes remained on me. I tried to move my feet, but the mud didn't budge in releasing me.

The figures moved closer until their rotting hands outstretched to touch me. I screamed as their hissing voices filled my head.

"You. The only one. You did this to us. Now we will take you with us."

The voices grew louder as the figures came closer. I screamed and snapped my eyes closed, hoping to awaken.

     The voices became silent.
