( Russia's POV)
Russia got up early again. He sat up in his bed and stretched. Today was the day of the school dance, and Russia was finally going to confess his feelings for Germany to him. He had been contemplating this since the week before, and with the help of Israel, he was going to. Russia reached over to his nightstand and grabbed his phone. He started to text Japan.
R: Hey
J: Looks like someone's up early? What's the deal?
R: Dunno.
J: Is it because you wanna go see a certain someone?
R: I dunno...
J: Want to meet at your place?
R: Sure
Russia walked over to his wardrobe and looked around. He wanted to wear something kind of nice. He chose a gray sweater that was fairly new and some light sweatpants. It was going to be rather chili today. Finally, it was starting to feel like fall. Russia grabbed his navy blue fur coat. He made sure that it looked nice before throwing in on. He grabbed his backpack and headed downstairs. He met Ukraine, who was T-posing on top of the kitchen table.
"Bruh, what the actual- why are you up so early?" Rusia said in slight disbelief.
" I got up just so I could catch you before you left. Why are you up so early, mister?"
"I'm waiting on Japan."
" Is your boyfriend to the dance?" Ukraine said teasingly.
"He's not my boyfriend."
"Okay, well if he's not your boyfriend then why are you always so happy to see him?"
"What are you, a stalker?"
" Answer my question."
Russia huffed. Where his brother got his persistence from, he would never know.
" I- I'm going to confess to him today.."
Ukraine had a wide smile on his face. Russia knew that any day after today, the only thing Ukraine would want to talk about was however today turned out.
" Ooooh, Russia's in love!"
Russia huffed again but said nothing. He folded his arms and turned away, blushing. Ukraine almost always squeezed whatever information he wanted out of Russia-and the rest of his siblings. Russia walked outside and sat on their porch. He let his mind wander too far and began to worry. What if Germany didn't accept his feelings? What if he didn't want to be friends anymore? Israel was great at convincing people of things at first, but ar Russia gave more and more thought to it, he realized how wrong this could go.
After sitting outside for a while, Russia saw Japan walking up the sidewalk. She wasn't alone.
" Hey, Russ!" Japan greeted him. " Hope you don't mind, but I brought my baby boo with me."
"Hello!" South Korea said. Russia and South knew each other, as Japan had introduced him to her when they got together a few months ago. Japan hugged Souh around the waist and kissed her cheek.
" I don't really mind," Russia said. "Come on."
Russia, Japan, and South all walked up to school together. Japan was holdings hands with her girlfriend. Russia couldn't help but wonder if he and Germany would be able to do that again. South must have known what he was thinking.
" Hey, I'm sure everything will work out just fine!" She said, trying to comfort him.
"Yeah!" Japan said. "Besides, I think you two are close enough that even if it doesn't work out, you will at least be friends."
