( Russia's POV)

Russia was crying. It was about 4 in the morning, but Russia had been up for several hours. Russia sobbed into his pillow, letting his tears get soaked up by the pillowcase. He had a dream that Germany didn't love him anymore. It had seemed so real. Russia didn't know why, but he was afraid to lose Germany.

He was scared to be alone again.

He thought about how America had left him. He remembered the moment he had walked into China's house and found them kissing on the couch vividly. He remembered America's shocked eyes and China's wicked smirk. He remembered America telling him that China treated him better and was much more attractive.

Most of all, Russia remembered the feeling of his heart being torn to shreds.

This was the feeling Russia had felt just after his dream. What if Germany really didn't love him anymore?  What if he liked Poland instead? Was that why they had been hanging out so much recently? Russia's heart wrenched inside of him. Maybe he would be all alone again.

Russia squeezed his pillow harder and bawled. He didn't even try to muffle his sounds. Most of his siblings were deep sleepers anyway, so he wouldn't wake them. Russia hicced between his sobs. He didn't know what he would do. He would be so lost without Germany...

He heard his door slowly open. He turned around to see one of his siblings at his door. Wiping his eyes the best he could, he looked to see who had opened his door.

It was Belarus.

She had a look of empathy and concern on her face, which was rare considering it was, well..Belarus. She walked over to Russia's bed and struggled to get on top. Once she did, She settled herself to be right next to Russia.

" What's wrong, big brother? " she asked.

" Nothing," Russia replied, trying to keep his voice from faltering.

" Monster Cat can smell your lies," Belarus said, holding her plush close to Russia's face.

" Um-"

" So, what's really wrong?"

Russia didn't say anything at first. Belarus was very young and likely wouldn't understand how he felt. However, no one we awake at the moment, and Belarus was persistent.

" It's... I just... I just don't want to be alone again. The person I'm in love with might not love me back, and I'm afraid.."

Russia was trembling. He didn't want to cry in front of his youngest sister.

" Listen, " she began. " If you love them, you have to tell them. You can never know for sure until you do. You need to."

" But what if they don't love me back?"

" Then there is nothing you can do. But if thst happens, at least you said something and you can let it go, right?"

Russia nodded. He silently wondered how she knew so much about the topic. It didn't matter much though; her words seemed true enough.

" Why don't you go buy your love interest flowers or something like that?" Belarus suggested.

" That's a good idea!" Russia said. " But which ones? "

" Whichever ones remind you of them the most."

Russia nodded again and hugged his sister. She hugged him back the best she could. Everything remained wholesome until Russia heard a quiet snip.
