It was the day of the ball. Couples were cuddling up to each other in front of the fire and groups of girls running about, excited for the ball. I was in my room with Katey and Grace steaming my dress off. "Don't want to be an American idiot!" We sang. Katey was getting the makeup and hair products out and Grace was warming the curlers and straighteners up. "Ahhhh I can't wait." Katey danced around "same here Were definitely going to be best dressed." I smiled to her. There was a knock at the door. "Come in!" Grace shouted. Lola walked in with her dress on a hanger. "Hi." I smiled. The younger girl hung her dress up. "I'm so excited." She smiled "aww well go have a shower and freshen up then we'll go get ready." I said to her. She nodded and walked to the bathroom.
Lola sat down in front of my dresser as I straightened her golden curly locks.

I made sure my makeup was ok and put on a red lip. "Let's go." I smiled.
I walked down the stone stairs. Heads turned and gasps could be heard. I met a smiling George. He bowed and held out his hand. I chuckled at his actions and took his hand as he lead me into the hall. It had been completely transformed

"You look beautiful love." He smiled as he took my waist for the first dance of the night. We waltzed around the room.
Many dances later a band came up to the stage. My friend was on lead so I quickly ran up to him and whispered "play that muggle song." He nodded and handed me a microphone. The beat was slow "ok everyone get onto the dance floor if you don't have a date find someone who is also alone." I walked down the steps of the stage and back to George. "Well done love." He kissed my cheek. From the corner of my eye I saw Fred atom his foot and march over. "What's your problem?" I asked him "George you son of a b-" "Oy Fred chill." I said to him "he stole you from me!" He shouted "what!" I shouted "Fred I had a crush on you for years but you acted like a complete twat so George came over and I ended up with him!" I shouted again Fred stood there "you did." He said "yeah." I said "but then feeling are gone now." I said at that moment George came over and wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my temple "isn't she great and an amazing singer." George smiled as he clearly didn't hear mine and Fred's heated conversation. "Yeah bloody brilliant!" He shouted and he went for George "Fred!" I shouted and pushed him off George "Fred you just have to bloody ruin everything!" I shouted and ran out of the hall. I ran up one step and my heel broke "for merlins sake!" I said and took the heel off I couldn't be bothered to pick it up so I left it there "what a Cinderella story." I laughed to myself. I sat on my bed and put my tv on. "Grace are you in there?" I heard Grace say "yeah." I huffed "where's George?" I asked her "Fred when crazy on him he's in the hospital wing." She said "merlin." I said and ran out of the dorms.
I reached the hospital wing still in my dress and the crown on my head. "Where's George!?" I asked panicked "he's on bed 5." "George!" I said wrapping my arms around him. "I knocked him out." Fred said his head bowed in guilt. "I think you should go." I said "mhm but I'm not going to." He said shaking his head at me. "Fine have it your way." I tutted George was still in his suit. I placed a kiss on his surprisingly cold lips. I sighed deeply, my night in shining armour was in the hospital wing. "He has this In his hand when I knocked him out." Fred said handing me my broken shoe. "He knew that was mine." I said. Fred nodded "I'm sorry." He said "I can just be so selfish sometimes." He said his head bowed again. "It's ok I understand." I said "George would want us to get on." He said "well we did till you started acting like a selfish guy like your brother Ron." I said "I'm not selfish." Ron said walking into the hospital wing. I rolled my eyes. "Ok visiting time over." Miss Pomfrey said "I'm gonna stay." I said I fell asleep in the hospital chair with my hand on George's. "Love?" He asked as I woke up "Mhm GEORGE YOU'RE AWAKE!" I smiled and kissed his cheek. "George you can go when you want." Miss pomfrey said. He got up and took my hand. "Were still in outfits so come with me." He smiled. He lead me up to the astronomy tower. "It's not quite midnight but it is sunrise." He smiled. He took my cheek in his hands and bent down a little while I stood on my tip toes before pressing his lips onto mine. The sunrise made everything look gold. It was the first proper kiss between me and George and I couldn't imagine it better.
