The emptiness that once consumed me
Has blossomed into a garden of color
In a world that was once monochrome.
This aura of innocent bliss
Has painted my once ebony sky
The darkness that clouded my heart
Has been chased away by your light.
What a beautiful emotion
So strong and fulfilling
I never thought I'd meet a star
That is brighter than my entire galaxy.
The only tears that fall now
Are ones entranced with your grace
And overwhelmed by your smile.
Not one being has made me so light
To where my soul is made of feathers
And my heart became a dove.
Where my life was once a tightrope
My mind filled with static
And my stomach full of lead,
The sweetness of your words
And the beauty of your joy
Has chased away the hurricane.
Now my cheeks are warmed by sunlight
My eyes no longer storm,
But reflect the skies of blue.
I can't imagine why
You can't see your worth
When you make me feel this way
