He has a demonic smile. He got raised on the streets. Always craved candies but no one was there to buy him some. Once, he asked a person to give him a candy. That person accidentally crushed his pinky off by a cart. After that, he became a phsycopath. When he got older, he killed that person's whole village. Killing is his hobby.

Xiao Xingchen:-

He is extremely good at fighting. Once, Xue Yang made his Best Friend Song Lan blind. That's why, Xingchen sacrificed his own eyes for him. He has a pure heart. Helping people is his hobby.

He is also known as Zichen. He is Xingchen's best friend and has a crush on him. But, it's unclear. He can do anything for him. He got blinded by Xue Yang but, Xingchen gave his eyes to him.

A-Qing is a poor girl who acts like a blind to get people's sympathies. She got rescued by Xingchen once and from then she lived with him. Xingchen doesn't know that, she is not blind since he himself can't see. She just wants to protect Xingchen.

The tragedy comes when a phsycopath starts to feel loved. Xue Yang never got loved in his life. Although, he hated Xingchen first. But, Xingchen rescued him and they lived in a place called 'Coffin Town'. Xue Yang got to know him better. He told Xingchen about his candy craving. After that, Xingchen used to give him candies everyday. But, Song Lan found out about their residence. Everything went downwards.
Xingchen got to know Xue Yang's deeds. How he tricked him to kill everyone in that town for his own pleasure. How he made him attack his best friend Zichen.
Xingchen couldn't take this pain and committed suicide. Xue Yang finally realised what he has done. He begged to Wei Wuxian [the grandmaster of demonic cultivation] to revive Xingchen's soul. But, it was too late. Xue Yang killed A-Qing and then got himself killed by injured Song Lan. That's how, Yi City got wiped up.
We know, What Xue Yang did...was horrible. Xingchen got no hopes to come back in earth. But, don't you think Xue Yang deserves a second chance? He never got loved before. When Xingchen showed him sympathy...he felt lost. He didn't know how to show it back or feel it. He wanted Xingchen...alive or as a ghost. But, it was way too late....
