Only in fairytales will you find a love so easy and perfect.

They make it seem like it's about finding someone who makes love simple, who falls into perfect rhythm and synchronization with you, or who comes into your life and suddenly everything makes sense.

Like it's about finding someone who always loves you just right, who never says or does anything wrong, or who never makes you question, frustrated, or be filled with wonder.

That's not love and it doesn't always happen like that in real life.

That's a fairytale. And fairytales are fictional.

"And they lived happily ever after. The End."

Ayla closed the book in her hand and turned to the children who were comfortably seated on the colourful foam puzzle floor mats. She adjusted herself on the midnight blue beanbag chair she was seated on and braced herself for the oncoming questions the curious little ones always had for her at the end of every story she read for them.

"Did they really live happily ever after?"

"Is this how it also is in real life?"

"Will I get my own Prince Charming in the future, too?"

"Do you have a Prince Charming, Ayla-noona?"

Ayla giggled at the children's innocent questions, feeling amused by their widened eyes and inquisitive smiles as they stared at her expectantly, waiting for their burning questions to be answered.

"The story said they did, Areumie. But I can't assure you that stories always have a happy ending in real life, Dohyun-ah. And Sunhee, I know you'll get your Prince Charming in the future."

"You didn't answer my question, Noona." Haejoon glared playfully at the older girl, who only sent him a secretive smile.

"Well, would you look at the time? It's time for everyone to head home and get ready for bed," Ayla declared, ignoring the children's arising complaints.

One by one, the kids began to begrudgingly get up from their comfortable positions on the mats with sour expressions on their faces. Ayla liked the fact that the kids enjoyed their Friday night storytelling just as much as she did to the point that they always grumbled when it was time to leave.
