On this snowy day, I'm reminded of my first snowfall of the season with you.
It has never held any sort of importance to me, it simply gave me excitement for the arrival of my favourite season.
It brings me back in time to the fascination I felt as a child while watching the flakes drift down onto the bare trees and ground, slowly blanketing the entire city white.
It wasn't until I moved to Korea that I learned the first snowfall of the season wasn't just a simple weather phenomenon, like I had initially thought it was.
In reality, it held a special and rather sweet meaning.
I wish we could go back and experience it again.
That first snowfall. . .

"Pst!" Jimin called out in a hushed but still provoking tone to divert Ayla's attention towards him. "Hey, Ayla? Yo, bro? Sup, b—"
Jimin became silenced by a kick to his shin. He let out a soft whimper, his face contorting in pain just as he reached down to soothe the dull stinging on his leg.
"You didn't have to resort to violence," Jimin pouted, still trying to remain as quiet as possible since they were in the university library. "I'm just trying to get your attention."
Ayla remained expressionless and continued to edit a video file on her laptop containing all of the pictures and videos she took from earlier this semester. In her notebook, she had jotted down her thoughts and concept for this midterm project. Though it seemed more like a messy web scribble done by a two-year old, she could decipher exactly what her ideas were.
"It's our lecture-free day and you've been staring at your computer screen since this morning. I left you to go to rehearsals four, maybe five hours ago and I come back to see you in the same position. Did you even eat?"
Weeks have passed since Jimin met Ayla's family and the two have been 'together' for way more than a month now.
The couple knew where they stood with each other, but they were also aware that they now held a special place in each other's lives. As best friends or more than that, they weren't entirely sure.
After that encounter with Hyerin over a month ago, Jimin noticed that she had been giving him more looks and careful attention. Though she only played the role of an understudy, there were already a couple of instances where she had to step in and perform with Jimin onstage as his partner. She was still too hesitant to strike up a casual conversation with him, but she wouldn't be afraid to talk to him as long as it was on the subject of dance, classes, or their performance.
