Sometimes, people do things with reasons that are unclear to us.
In certain moments, we start to realize just how unfair life truly is. People may not love us as much as we love them, they may leave us, hurt us, fail us, or refuse to understand our side and our emotions.
They fail to realize that the people who they left behind are suffering, perhaps even the most. But for me, it's about the growth. How those that are left behind are willing to understand the other person's reasons, though it may hurt them to think about it.
And sometimes, we feel like something is missing, therefore we have trouble understanding the situation. But, maybe all we need is to have a new perspective and to find the silver lining to start enjoying what may be an unfair life.
I understood what I was doing and I took into consideration how others may feel about my decision. And just like what I expected, they couldn't believe my choice.
They said I was giving up on myself.

"Dad," Ayla called out to her father who entered their apartment without sparing a glance back at her. "Dad, please understand—"
"No, I can't understand, Ayla." Her father finally turned to face her and Ayla was shocked to see his eyes shining with unshed tears. "You're being given a chance and you're turning it down, without even showing any regret for that decision."
"Because I'll just be dragging on the inevitable, Dad. We know where this is all leading to, so instead of finding ways to prolong what's bound to happen in the end, I'd rather do as much as I can outside the suffocating walls of a hospital room before. . . before it's time."
"It would've bought us more time," her father said quietly, his body shuddering as he turned his back on her so that Ayla wouldn't see her own father break down in heart-wrenching sobs.
He entered his room and just as his door shut close, the door to Ayla and Joshua's shared bedroom opened. Jungkook, who was watching over Joshua while his sister and father were out of the apartment, held the frowning young boy in his arms.
Jungkook lowered Joshua to the ground, who wasted no time to run over to his sister and to engulf her in a warm embrace. Ayla knelt down on the floor so she was levelled with him and to make it easier for her to return his hug full of love.
