Lunox's Point of View

This is the unluckiest day of my life! I'm sick, when I wake up, my head hurts so bad. I took the medical kit and searched for the thermometer, when I tested my temperature, it's 38.5°C. It's a low-grade fever but I hate the feeling of being weak.

I think I know the reason why I got sick. It's the time when we played dodge ball. Apparently, we got our pe uniforms dirty and we're full of sweat too. We decided to use the hose to wash ourselves. My classmates were too lazy to go to the bathroom, that's why we just wash ourselves with a hose. I didn't have extra clothes with me so I just dried my clothes. That's the only possible explanation.

I texted my brother to inform him about my condition. He replied to me and he's really worried. Actually, he already wanted to go home but I just stopped him. I don't want interfere with his work. For that, Uncle Johnson is coming all his way to our house to take care of me. I'm going to see his face again, ugh, what unluckiness can still happen to me?

My phone beeped. Speaking of the devil...

From Uncle:

My Lulu! I'm here.

Oh great. He's here. I tried to stand up even if I feel dizzy. I went to the main door and opened it. "I've heard from Ling that you're sick and he can't be by your side right now. When I heard the news, I volunteered to take care of you, my favorite niece!" My headache is already a problem. Him, being around, will make me dizzier. "Just come in, uncle."

He went in. "I have brought medicines for your fever. Where's the kitchen? I'm going to cook porridge. Oh, how I miss cooking for you. I remember when you and Ling were young, I always cooked your food," he said and laughed. "Your brother sure is working hard," he stated. He's preparing to cook. "Tell him to rest too. I'm glad that he's doing his job but, he should not drown himself at work." I held my temple; my head hurts even more. Now that I think of it, uncle has a point. He always puts me first rather than himself.

"I'll talk to him regarding that matter," I said. "This will be done in five minutes, my sweet Lulu!" He said. "Uncle, how many times do I have to tell you stop with your acts. You looked like a perverted man."

"L-Lulu? How can you say that to your only uncle! I'm trying my best to be the greatest uncle. You're always like that when you were young. You really don't love me, do you?" asked uncle. I swear, he's getting to my nerves. "I'm thankful because you adopted me and my brother. I owe you big time. You are the reason we are in this situation today," I heard him sobbed. "L-Lu... You're making me cry, that's so sweet of you! You're really my favorite niece. Come hug your uncle!" He said. "Keep what you are doing!" I shouted. He laughed.

Yeah. He's one of the reasons what I am today. I can clearly remember...

How long has it been? One week? We haven't left this basement for one week. The police? They're useless. I don't know why they haven't found out what happened to us. We also don't have the courage to go out. We're not ready to face reality. The reality that our parents were dead, our sweet home... it's gone just like that.

We've survived because of the food that is stored in here. My brother hasn't spoken a word since then. I'm worried about him. In my case, it's different. It's easy for me to accept all that happened. Am I even normal? I know they're dead. We can't bring the dead back alive. All I can do is pray for them that their souls may rest in peace, and I know my parent's soul will never be in peace until I get to kill that man!

He ruined my family, my home. Everything is gone. The people I loved and cared. All I have is my brother... and he's not well.

My stomach's rumbling. I opened the box where the canned goods are, and when I opened it, it's empty. We don't have any foods left! "B-Brother... our food," I said. He just looked at me then stared down. He's still not talking. What can I do?

All of a sudden, the basement's door opened up. "Sir! I found them. Two kids!" A guy with a black outfit? What's with the set-up?

Then, there, a man who's the same age as my dad but younger. Come to think of it, he also looked like my dad. "D-Dad?" My brother just spoke! "Brother, did you just talk?" I went near him and held his shoulder. "It must be very difficult for the both of you especially you, young man." The man who just looked like my dad stood in front of us, and because we're small, I looked up to see his face.

Dad... He looked like him.

"W-Who are you, sir?" I asked. "I'm your father's brother, you can call me Uncle John. Condolences for your lost." He said. He may look like dad but I can't fully trust him. I can't trust no one except my brother. In this harsh world, people with power and money will prevail. "As far as I know, my parents don't have any relatives," I spoke. "That's what they want you to believe, youngster." What is he talking about? "You know something! Tell us!" I said. I demand an answer. He knew something I don't. "Feisty, young lady. I liked the look in your eyes. Aren't you traumatized just like your brother?" He's changing the topic. "Don't change the topic. What do you know? What do you want?" I asked straightforwardly.

"I'm Uncle Johnson. Your father's brother. I'm here today to offer you a deal. Join me. Join in my organization. As the children of the greatest assassins in the history, I'm offering you a special offer, applicable only for the two of you." A-Assassin? My mom and dad?

"I only speak of the truth. Your parents retired and lived peacefully for the sake of you two, but they knew that peace will not last long. They're assassins, they can't escape their fate. Their past will continuously hunt them and that's the path they've chosen. I can see it in your eyes, little girl. You wanted revenge. The look in your eyes, it's the same as your father's. You wanted the head of the man who killed your beloving parents. I can give you power to do so," he said. Power. That is what I need. He can easily read my mind. He knew what I wanted to achieve.

"Old man- I mean, uncle, what's this special offer you're talking about?" I asked. "Work under me. Join my organization. In order to do that, you need to be strong first. You'll have to train yourself to death. I'll adopt you two. I'll take care of your finances, a place to live, tuition fee to attend school, allowances, all of it. All you have to do is join, work under me. If you accept, I bet in my life, you'll achieve what you want to achieve. You won't lose a single important person in your life," he said. This looked very tempting but I can't decide for myself only.

"Brother?" I needed to ask for his permission. My brother stood up. He clenched his fist, he looked up. His eyes... it changed. "We accept," he said as he held my hand. His eyes are full of determination. I smiled. My brother's back.

"Nice choice, youngsters. You're in. You can gather as much information you needed with your missions. If you want to know who killed your parents, gather information even if it's the tiniest detail. Gather that small detail and add it up and eventually, something unexpected will happen. Small details can make a difference," advised uncle.

Many things happened after then. We learned a lot. We learned how cruel and disgusting the world can be and, how beautiful and amazing it at the same time. We've trained hard to be the best assassins in the organization Uncle founded. Lustitia, inc. Latin word of Lady of Justice, Justitia. Lustitia, inc.- an organization founded by my uncle. Its goal is to eliminate injustice. We only kill people who meets the criteria, mostly the targets were politicians who served no good to its country. Yes, I'm an assassin. I kill people, I already have bloods on my hands. It's not a big deal. A stepping stone for me, so that I know how I'll handle the mask man as soon as I met him. Every bit of it, I can still remember, all of it. I'll have my revenge. My goal will not change. No one can ever stop me. If someone will get in my way, I have no other choice but to eliminate that person. All for my revenge.

"Here's your porridge. After you eat, drink your medicine. Don't think too much first, my Lulu. You're sick and you're thinking about getting revenge again?" He said and put the bowl of porridge on the table. "Sorry, uncle. I just remembered the time I and my brother met you then I didn't realize I'm already thinking about my revenge," I told him.

"Hmm. Looks like your mind's set already. You will really take revenge. Your decision's final," he said while mixing his coffee.

Yes, I will not go back on my word. I promised to myself since that day. The time will come, soon... Mask man.
