Lunox’s Point of View
“Lunox!” A heard a voice calling me.
“Lunox!” She called me out again. She shook my body. A voice of a woman? I opened my eyes. The light is too bright. After a second, I can see her face clearly.
“R-Ruby?” I said in a husky voice. I sat up.
“What are you doing here?” I asked her.
“I thought you went on your way to school with the others,” I stated.
“How can I leave you when you’re risking your life! This is the least I can do to help you,” she said. “You have slept for about five hours,” she added.
“What’s the time now?” I asked and rubbed my eyes.
“The time is 12:15 am,” she said as she checked her phone’s time. All of a sudden, I remembered that I have to meet Leomord at his cabin. My eyes widen and I got up.
“Shvt! I overslept and I forgot that I have to visit Leo’s place but it’s already in the middle of the night,” I said and pulled my hair.
“That is why I’m here! We’re all staying at his place,” she said.
“At his place?!” I exclaimed.
She nodded. “It’s not safe to be by ourselves so he ordered us to stay at his place. It’s safer. Many things happened while you were gone. We were betrayed. There is a traitor among us,” she said. There’s flash of anger and sadness in her eyes. She looked at me. “It’s better if Leo’s the one who will tell you,” she said and gave me a smile, a sad smile rather. She stood up and left me confused.
“What was that?” I murmured to myself.
I changed my clothes and tie my hair in a bun. That should do it. I got out of the cabin and I saw Ruby standing in the corner waiting for me.
“You should have waited for me inside,” I stated.
“It’s not safe. He might have eyes watching us right now. He’s unpredictable,” she replied. I gave her a confused look. “You’ll know soon. Let’s go to his cabin. We’re all waiting for you,” she said. Then, we went to his cabin. We entered Leomord’s cabin. They’re not here! His cabin’s empty.
Ruby locked the door. She opened the drawer and took something out there. Shvt! I jumped behind the sofa.
“You knew that there’s a gun inside the drawer, Lunox?” She asked.
“What the hell is this, Ruby?!” I asked her while I’m looking for a thing to defend myself.
“You might be a traitor or you are the traitor!” She said and shot the sofa. I was almost got shot!
“What the hell is your problem? I just got here!” I yelled. Aren’t there useful things that I can use as a weapon?! Wait up. This is Gusion’s cabin too. He likes to hide stuff underneath the mat and sofa. I searched the bottom of sofa but it’s empty. Dvmn. If I can’t fight back, I’ll die. Please there be something underneath the mat. This is my only chance!
“Please,” I mumbled. I placed my hand underneath the mat and frisked. I felt something hard, something like a… “Gun!” I said in a loud voice.
“Got you!” She said and shot at my place. I quickly rolled to the right. I appeared to her. I pulled the trigger and shot her an inch beside her right cheek. A thin line of blood came out. I remained standing.
“I don’t know a dvmn thing what you are talking about. My only fvcking goal is to get rid of Mask Man, no more no less. If you keep doing this, I’ll have to fight back, Ruby. Also, Roger’s fine. He’s a weirdo but he’s a great guy. I have fought with him and his combat skills is superb. I have to compliment him on that,” I said. She put down the gun and placed it back to the drawer.
