Lunox’s Point of View

“Why do you want to keep it as a secret from her?”

“It’s for her own good.”

“Tsk. Own good, you say? She’ll hate you. A piece of advice from me, she’ll rather live her life miserable at least it’s the truth rather than she’ll have a peace life but full of lies. She’s mature enough to understand.”

I rubbed my eyes. I can hear whispers up to here. “Are we here?” I asked. I saw brother Ling and Leomord in front of me.

“B-Brother Ling? Leo?”

“We’re still on the bus. I parked it in the mall’s parking lot,” replied brother. “We’ll not go to the school directly. The others went to the mall to have fun while we wait for you to wake up. We’ll pick them up later. While the three of us, we’ll go to your house,” added Leomord.

“It’s not actually a house but a condo. We’re living in a condo,” I commented.

“No, not there. To our main house,” said brother Ling.

“Radcliffe’s residence?!” I exclaimed. Brother sat on the driver’s seat while Leomord sat beside me.

“Yes. Uncle John is also there. You have questions to ask him, haven’t you?” asked Brother and started the bus engine to run. So, we’ll meet uncle. I do have questions to ask him about my past. We haven’t talk about what happened before because it will only bring pain to me. However, I’m grown up. I deserve to know the truth.

“Nervous?” Leomord asked.

“I’m not!” I defended. Then, he pointed my hands.

“Whenever you’re nervous, afraid, and troubled, you bite your nails like what you’re doing at the moment,” he said. I stopped biting my nails. “Don’t be scared, Lu. I’m here,” he stated and leaned on my head.

“Yah!” I exclaimed. “I’m sleepy. I haven’t slept on our journey because of you,” he said. “Don’t blame it to me, jerk!” I replied. Then, I heard him snored. He’s asleep already! Or he’s faking it again.

“Leo can sleep in a second and he can wake easily if he can sense danger. His name perfectly suits him. I applaud the person who named him,” brother said.

“Hehehe,” I reacted. Why do I feel fluttered to what brother said? I didn’t even name him!

“Leo…” I mumbled his name. This is the first time we became close and have a long conversation just the two of us. I don’t know him much except for the fact that he once saved me and he’s Tophet Chevalier but he seems to know a lot about me.

“Stop staring at him intensely, Lu,” said brother. I looked on the view outside the window. “I-I’m not staring at him!” I defended. “I can see you through the mirror,” he replied.

“Leo’s a great man and a great assassin. I just found out that he’s Tophet Chevalier. Tsk. I’m ashamed that I can’t beat a teenager and steal the number one spot from him of being the best assassin in Lustitia, inc.,” he said.

“If you like him, I’ll support you. He’s superior than you. It means that he can control you and I happen to see that you’re agitated to him which is unlike you,” he said.

“Stop teasing me, brother!” I said. He let out a laugh.

“About the other young man who punched me before,” he said. I raised an eyebrow.

“What about him?” I asked.

“He’s a traitor but it seems that he has feelings for you,” he said.

“He doesn’t have. Maybe he just used me to achieve his plans,” I replied.

“You don’t see the big picture, Lu. He may be a traitor but he likes you for certain. I can see it in his eyes the way he looked at you,” he said. “What do you know? You haven’t fallen in love!” I said. “I was in denial, Lu. I didn’t admit to myself that I like Wan if you hadn’t push me so I gave her a chance. Then, I realized that I loved her from the start. We’re both happy as of now. See? I have a love life now. I have the right to talk,” he said. “Tsk. Whatever,” I mumbled.

“However, we can’t change the fact that he’s a traitor. Personally, I felt like he has his own way of handling the situation. He’s neither siding with us nor siding with Franco,” he said. I glanced at him. My forehead creased.

“What do you mean?”

“The stoplight turns green now. I’ll focus on driving. I can’t talk to you,” he dodged the question on purpose. Even if I persuade him, he won’t reply. They always keep secrets to me and I hate it!

After an hour, we have arrived to our destination, the Radcliffe’s residence.

“Uncle will be surprise to see us again,” brother said. I glanced at Leomord who is still sleeping. “Hey, wake up, Leo,” I said and tapped his cheek. “Your head is heavy! Move now,” I added. His hair looks fluffy. He’s still asleep and he won’t wake up. This is my chance! I touch his hair and slide my hands through it. It’s so soft! I’m like touching a puppy’s fur or more like a lion’s fur. I giggled. “Enjoying? We can stay like this forever if you want,” I stopped running my hands through his hair.

“Y-You’re awake?” I asked.

“I am now,” he said and straightened up.

“We’re here now, are we?” He asked. I nodded. He placed his hand under his chin. “Lu likes my hair. Do you only like my hair or me as a whole?” I ignored him and stood up. “Move. I’ll greet uncle!” I said and walked out of the bus.

When I hopped off the bus, I saw brother’s teasing smile. I glared at him. “Woah, woah. I haven’t said anything.” He said. “I didn’t want to bother you two so…” I kicked him but he dodged it.

“Lulu! Lili!” I already knew whose voice it is. Uncle is running towards us with his arms wide open. He was about to hug us but we sidestep to avoid him. In the end, he hugged Leomord who is at our back.

“Uncle Johnson…” Leomord mentioned his name with a threatening tone. Uncle quickly let him go and scratches his head.

“I thought it’s my dear Lulu and Lili, son,” he said.

“Son?!” I and brother Ling reacted.
