Chapter 13

Lunox's Point of View

I marked the date, 6th of May. The day I will start to investigate. Also, the Kung Fu Club agreed to be my ally, having a group to count on will be a great help. When I get into trouble, I can easily get away by using their name. A piece of cake! "May 6? Got a date?" Pharsa asked. She surprised me. She keeps showing up without her being noticed.

"Kind of." I answered.

"Huh? What do you mean kind of?" Here comes Selena. She will keep pestering me until she was satisfied. I closed my notebook. "I have talked to Gusion," I said, changing the topic. "You what?!" They both shouted.

Suddenly, Gusion went in. He passed by my direction without glancing any of us. All of my classmates glanced at his direction. He really is head-turner. He gained the attention of the whole class. I wondered what kind of president was he before? I wish I could have seen it.

"I forgot. Catch," he said and threw a book at me. I caught it. I read the title, Another. "You might be interested," added Gusion. "Ah thanks," I replied.

I saw Pharsa and Selena giving me a suspicious look. "Is he your date on May 6? Tell us!" Pharsa said. Date? I don't have time for dates. I didn't answer. What peak my interest is Gusion. Why did he give me this book? Is there a reason? He also gave Leomord a book. I needed to talk to him again. I was about to get up when Sir Franco went in.

"The second activity will be an individual game, a one-on-one match. This will test the individual skills of each person," explained Sir Franco. Many were happy and excited while some complained because they suck without a team mate. One of my classmates raised her hand. "Can't it be by pair?" She suggested. Few agreed with her.

"No. I will repeat again. This is an individual activity in which it will test your individual skills. How can I grade each one of you if you're in pair or groups? One-on-one match. I had already prepared the place," said Sir Franco.

"The first rule is don't go outside the boundary, even if it's a thread of hair that went outside the boundary or by accident, you lose. As long as you are in the boundary, the game will continue. Second rule, when you knock-out your opponent, automatically, you win. Third rule, you can admit defeat. Fourth rule, strictly no cheating. If I found out you cheat, you'll be punished and it's my pleasure to think of a way on how to punish you well. Fifth rule, I don't want anyone in this activity to be killed. You must know your limitations! I know most of you have killed people before but remember, you're all in the school zone. Understood?" explained Sir Franco.

"Yes." We answered.  "Louder!" He shouted.  "Yes!" We shouted back.

"Next, I will announce your opponents. The first ones are Nana and Harith, go prepare and think of a strategy. The rest, go out and follow me," said Sir Franco. I approached Nana and tapped her back. She looked very nervous. "You can do it. Just relax," I cheered her up. "Thank you, Lunox!"

I'm at the place. I saw Selena at Pharsa and they saw me too. "Lu! Here, we reserved a place for you," said Pharsa. I approached them and seat on the place where they reserved it for me.

"Do you think who'll win?" asked Selena. From the looks of it, Harith will win. "We never know," I said.  "I think Harith for me! I've seen him fight before and he's incredible. His agility is top notch!" commented Pharsa. Agility. Let's see what  you'll do, Nana. How will you beat this guy?

"Fighters in your position," announced Sir Franco. Nana and Harith positioned themselves. Nana at the right corner and Harith at the left corner. "I'll take this fight seriously even though you're a girl, Nana," said Harith. "T-Thank you! I appreciate your sportsmanship," replied Nana.

"In 3, 2, 1..." Sir Franco blew his whistle. The match started. Harith ran towards Nana. Nana panicked. She looked to her left and right. She must calm down first or she'll make a choice without thinking.

She just stood still. She closed her eyes. I saw her murmured. She's calming herself. Harith is a few inches away from her. He's getting nearer. "This match is over!" shouted Harith. He clenched his fist and was about to punch Nana. Nana opened her eyes. She dodged his punch and hit Harith with her toy? Harith fell down. It's just a toy! How can he... or, perhaps Nana's toy is more than that.

Harith holds his shoulder where Nana hits Harith before. "That toy..." He said. "M-My toy? Her name is Molina! S-She's my ideal self. She's strong unlike me. She's confident unlike me. She can handle herself without the help of others unlike me," said Nana. Ideal self? "No! I mean that toy weight pounds! What's inside of your toy?" Harith asked.

Nana hugged her toy. "Molina is Molina," she said. "I'm done with your talks! I don't understand what you're trying to say," said Harith and dashed towards to Nana. Nana was about to hit Harith again with her toy but Hairth lowered down and didn't get hit. He kicked Nana's feet. She tripped down.

"O-Ouch..." Nana ache in pain. "I don't know what's inside your toy. But I need to end it now!" Harith shouted. Harith pinned Nana down. "Surrender, admit defeat," said Harith. Nana stared at Harith. Oho. Looks like I know what she's planning to do. She hits Harith using her knee on his crotch. "Fvck!" cursed Harith.

"Aw! That must hurt a lot..." commented Selena. It really is. I laughed. What a nice move you got there, Nana. Nana stood up and she puts her toy above his head. She let it go. The toy fell down on his head. "W-Wow. B-Birds! I see birds chirping hehe..." and there Harith collapsed.

"Harith was knock down! Nana won the match," announced Sir Franco. "I-I won?" Nana asked innocently. She gets her toy who was on the ground. "Let's congratulate her, Phars and Sele!" I said. I went to Nana and hugged her. "Congrats, Nana!"

"L-Lunox..." She hugged me back. I smiled. "T-Thank you. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't won the match. It is because you cheered me up. Thank y-you." She said.

"Congrats, Nana!" Pharsa said. "It was an interesting match. Pft. I'll  tease Harith when he gained consciousness. I'll let him remember how embarrassing he was defeated!" said Selena and laughed. I shook my head.

"Pardon her, Nana. She likes to fool around but Sele's right, it was an interesting match. The percent of you winning is zero percent, but in the end, you won the game. You turned the table around in favor of yours," I said. Nana smiled.

"Nana, what you displayed there was great. What's your rank before?" Sir Franco showed up. "31, sir," replied Nana. "I announced today that Nana's rank will be 25. Rank 25, Nana," said Sir Franco. "S-Sir? Thank you!" Nana said and bowed. There's a ranking system? Oh yes. I remembered. Lancelot once said that every activity where in you achieved a win will gain you a benefit of rising your rank. What rank am I?

Someone's staring at me. I looked at the direction where I felt the presence. Leomord? Leomord nodded his head. It looked like he wants me to talk with him.

"What do you want?" I asked. "Lose the match," he said. He wanted me to lose the match on purpose?

"What's your reason?" I asked. "Your opponent will be Gusion. You must lose the match," he repeated. "Tell me the reason! What benefit would I gain if I lose the match? You wanted me to lose the match on purpose? Wow. President Leo. You have guts. What makes you think I would follow you? You're not my master. I don't know what's your relationship with Gusion but I'm out of it.   I'll do what I want to do. Maybe I can change my mind if you give me a reason." I said. Tell me the reason.

He sighed. "Nevermind," he said, and left me alone.

What was that? Why would he wanted me to lose the match? It has something to do with Gusion. I need to investigate this one. Gusion.... who are you?
