Lunox’s Point of View
I left the girl that I encountered a while ago. I transformed Moonlit into a gun pocket so that I can keep it in my pocket. It will come out handy when I met opponents later. I’m walking through the hallway. I’m on my way to the gym. She said that the mess started in the gym so Steel Douglas, Leo and the others might be there.
I can hear footsteps coming by my place. As much as possible, I want to be unseen. There’s a room at my right. I opened the door and went in. “Moonlit, your turn,” I put my hands inside my skirt pocket and prepared Moonlit in case. I leaned on the door. I sneaked a peek from behind the door’s glass.
“Two armed men,” I whispered. They are holding guns with them. They must be guarding this place. They have blood on their faces. It’s obvious that they’re Steel Douglas’ men. They looked like Grade 10 student. I gritted my teeth. In such young age, they have already been exposed to the cruelty of life. When they passed by the room that I’m hiding, I sneaked out and continued to walk. I’ll waste my time if I fight them.
“You there!” He said. I halted. “I am exposed. Stupid me,” I mumbled. I turned around and greeted them, “Hello and goodbye,” I dashed to them. I held Moonlit in my pocket. I went on their backs. I knocked out one student while I grabbed the other student. Before he can trigger his gun, I hit his pulse resulting to release the gun that he’s holding. Quickly, I took out Moonlit, a pocket gun, and pointed it to his temple while I’m on his back.
“Your friend is down. No one will have your back now,” I whispered to him.
“Tsk. You’re too kind. Sir Steel teachings number one, be ruthless; show no mercy,” he said. He has a blank face. This kid has been trained by Steel Douglas. He isn’t afraid and quiver in fear that he might die in an instant. Steel Douglas taught them well. I triggered the gun.
“I’m in a hurry. I’m actually being considerate on purpose so please tell me where is your master?” I asked politely.
“My loyalty is only for him. I won’t tell you even if you kill me,” he replied. Loyalty? I chuckled. I let him go. This is funny! I laughed.
“Why are you laughing?!” He asked in an angry tone. I stopped laughing. I scratched the scalp of my head using the gun. “Because it’s hilarious,” I replied. “Your loyalty to him,” I added.
“Do you think he treat you as one of his allies? No. You’re just a minion. He will dispose you when he thinks that you’re already useless,” I said.
“You know nothing!” He defended. I showed him my poker face.
“He brainwashed the students who are in his side. You don’t know his true form,” I said.
“No! He is like us, he understands us so we followed him voluntarily,” he said. He trusts him too much so whatever I say he won’t believe me. Tsk. This is a waste of time. I passed by him.
“Why are you there all of a sudden?!” He exclaimed. I smirked. I just hid my presence and calculated the time when he blinks his eyes. One second is all I need to pass by him without seeing me and feeling my presence. I raised my gun. “You’re not my match, kid,” I said. I stopped and turned my head to see him. I smiled in a creepy way, “I’m Lunox Radcliffe, your senior. I’ll be the one who’ll kill your master. No need to thank me, kid.”
I left him in a dumbfounded state. He must be confused. I shook my head. “Kids, kids, kids, they can be easily fooled,” I mumbled. The world has been consumed by darkness. If I have to be the light to kill the darkness, I’ll gladly will. I will not let myself be consumed; I’ll struggle and live.
