Lunox’s Point of View

I stopped when I saw a sign. “Do not enter.” I read. “Cursed path.” I read the second sign board. Bunch of idiots! I stomped the sign. Only foolish person would believe in this sign. Whoever put this sign must be stupid. We’re in the middle of a tussle, who would come up with this dull-witted idea?

I stepped in. I bent down. An arrow suddenly flew directly at my head. There are traps, booby traps. I see… It’s really cursed. These paths I’m taking is full of booby traps. One wrong step and I’ll be killed. How did Intramurals Sports end up tragic? If I want to find out, I have to escape here.

I have to heighten my senses more. I need to be careful and guard my every move. I walked slowly. This can be a training for me. When’s the last time I train? Two or three years ago? It was a long time ago. I can’t remember. I suddenly stepped on a branch. Fvck.

There’s a hole! I looked down, there’s spikes. It’s too deep. If I fall, I’ll die. I can’t die here. The worst part is it will bring embarrassment as an assassin if they knew that Twilight Goddess died because of pit fall.

“Change!” I shouted. Moon changed into a grappling hook rope. I span the rope and threw it to the tree that is near. Fortunately, the grappling hook rope clang on the tree successfully.

“Yes!” I whispered. I held the rope tight. I have to balance my weight. That was too close! If I didn’t act fast, I’ll fall and it will kill me. I just made right in time. I pulled the rope. I tested it if it can handle my weight. I think it’s okay now. I positioned myself to climb up. I grabbed hold of the rope and climbed up. When I climbed up, I quickly released the grappling hook rope in my grip. I jumped backwards. Oh shvt! I forgot that there’s a pit behind me. I balanced myself. “Phew!” I whispered. I almost fell again.

“That’s not unfair! I almost got killed twice!” I yelled. As soon as I went back up, someone showed up and tried to slash me. Thanks to my reflexes, I felt it and jumped backwards. I pulled out my gun. I only have one gun now. Although that one of my guns transformed into grappling hook rope, I can still use the other one.

I ran behind the tree to take cover. “Lit, where’s Moon?” I asked it. Moonlit was split into two because I’ve used two weapons.  MK23 is Moon and H&K USP is Lit. However, MK23 was turned into a grappling hook rope. I have to get her back. “On the ground where you threw her,” it said.

“There’s a caution. Do not enter. You were warned,” he said.

“Can we talk about this?” I asked. I placed my gun upward beside my neck.

“Got you.” He’s fast! He’s already in front of me. I pointed the gun at him but he kicked the gun in my hand. Shvt! He stabbed me but I avoided. I knelt and quickly get Lit. I saw Moon not far from me.

“Five seconds. It’s now or never,” I mumbled. I looked at him but he disappeared. This is my chance! I hurriedly ran fast. I can feel his presence. He’s nearby.

All of a sudden, two knives were flying towards me. It’s fast-moving. I stooped as I ran. I stopped the knife from hitting my shoulder. I held the knife and threw it at him. That should at least buy time. I focused myself to get Moon. “Fvck. Traps again!” I cursed. I jumped and immediately took Moon. “Change back, moon!” I said. Moon that is grappling hook rope transformed back to a gun. I turned around. I was out of balance. I was about to fall on the ground. Alas, I have to hit him now. I positioned my arms. I raised both of my guns. I observed. Feel where he’s at. He’s going right and left. Look for a chance and wait until he walloped me head-on.

“A chance!” I swiftly pointed the gun at his direction. He was about to strike me but before he could do that, I shot him. He stopped and touched his wound. “That hurt—ack! Fvck!” He said. Then, I fell into the ground. I released Moonlit. I placed my hands on my face and wiped my sweat. “Too close,” I whispered. I’m lying on the ground now. I didn’t realize that it’s already night. I was too focused. I looked at the sky. I can see the moon’s bright light. “Tsk. If it wasn’t for the help of Moonlit. I won’t gone this far. Thank you, Moonlit.” I said. “You’re welcome, Twilight Goddess,” answered Moonlit. I felt that he’s standing beside me. “I caught you. Let’s stopped playing hide and seek.” I said to him.

“You’re great, woman!” He exclaimed. “You really shot me at the chest!” He added. He lends his hand. I accepted it and sit up. I looked at his shirt. It’s bloody. I looked at his face. He’s smiling. He got shot but he’s smiling. “Weirdo.” I murmured. “It does hurt but I’m used at getting beat up,” he said and scratched his head. He tore his shirt and sat. He has a scar; it was like a claw slit his chest. I stared at him intently. His skin is fair. He has a scar on his chest. His combat skills are amazing.

“Please save him! His name is Roger. He has fair skin. He has a scar on his chest. His combat skills are also amazing! You would recognize him when you saw him fight. He isn’t one of the dead students inside the forest. He’s strong, he’s still alive. So please, Lunox, help him! I won’t tell anyone about what I saw today, I promise.”

Ruby’s words flashed into my mind. “Roger.” I suddenly mentioned. He looked me after he finished wrapping his wound.  “Oh! You know me?”

“Somewhat,” I replied.

“So, what now?” I added. I didn’t intend to kill him. I felt that it’s not just right. I admire his performance earlier. He has been training. I know because I saw his moves. He must have experienced harsh training too.

“Who’s your master?” I asked.

“I don’t have,” he answered and took out a gum inside his pocket. I raised an eyebrow. “Oho. Then, why are you moves so dvmn good?” I asked. He teared the gum wrap and put it in his mouth. He looked above. “I have been out in the wilderness all my life. The trees, wild animals and even this dirt. They have been part of my life. I know the forest more than anyone.” He said and looked at me. Then, he smiled showing his teeth. “Disgusting,” I commented as I threw him dirt.

“You don’t have a place to stay tonight, do you? I have made a camp! My friends are also staying there. No need to worry. This place is my territory. It is guarded. No one can enter.” He said. He took out his knife and threw it. I heard a loud growl. A bear. “Even the animals and the other people here knew that they’ll get themselves killed if they go in here without my permission.” He threw his knife because he knew that there’s a bear hiding to attack us. It’s dark and it hit the bear precisely.

“However, You’re an exemption.” He added and pointed his knife at me. How many knives does he have?

“You’re here to save us.” He stated. I tilted my head.

"How did you know?" I asked.

“My intuition tells me. I have never been wrong. I trust my intuition.” He said and turned around. He started to walk. “They must have been starving. Come and help me carry the bear. It will be our dinner for tonight.” He said.

Roger, huh? I have met another interesting fellow. Ruby, what an odd taste you have. So, he’s your boyfriend? Not bad, not bad.
