Karkats POV
I sighed, curling up into a ball and hugging my knees tightly. I was at the park, sitting by my favourite tree, all alone. That's what happens when you have a family that hates you and not many friends. I ran a hand through my short black hair, trying not to cry. I cried a lot according to my family. They say I'm a wimp, I shouldn't have been born, then send me to my room for not doing anything. My friends help me though. They help me get through it, making me smile and laugh.
"If only my dad was like that" I growled, wiping away a stray tear with the sleeve of my black turtleneck with a cancer star sign on it.
Me and my friends wore jumpers with our star signs on since they represented us. And we were all astrology nerds. I guess for example, my friend vriska. She's a Scorpio and likes spiders, it kinda makes me uncomfortable. And terezi, she's a Libra and holds fake courts with her dragon plushies.
"Hey karkles" something poked my leg.
I looked up to see terezi, wearing her normal teal jumper, jeans and red converse. She held up her blind stick and continued to poke me. Yup, terezi was blind and she needed all the help she could to get around. That's how we met. She was new to our school around when we were about seven and I had to show her around for some reason, even though she couldn't see.
"Yes terezi?" I asked, trying not to make it sound as if I was crying.
"Are you ok, you've been here for hours?" Terezi said, kneeling down and 'looking' me straight in the eyes.
"How would you know?" I exclaimed, already getting slightly annoyed.
"Because I passed here like, two hours ago and I heard you muttering to yourself" Terezi smirked, twirling her stick.
"I'm not in the mood to talk right now" I grumble, going back to hugging my knees.
"Ok, see you later I guess" she waved in my direction and set off, feeling her way across the path with her stick.
It pained me to see her go. I don't know why. It broke my heart a little. I think all I needed was someone to talk to about my problems. Vriska was a terrible listener, kanaya was but she was always so busy, eridan only wanted to talk about his problems, sollux just rolled his eyes and mimicked me, Terezi was the only good listener. She had nothing to distract her since she was blind. That's why I liked her much more than the others, even if Nepeta had the biggest crush on me. She was cute and all but would only talk about cats, roleplaying and shipping.
I sighed and buried my head in my hands, I couldn't wait until the weekend, only two more days of school left. High school, more like hell school. I chuckled to myself, shaking my head and standing up. I walked down the path, hands stuffed in pockets, humming to myself, suddenly feeling happy.
Sorry its short :I
