OK, I've decided I'm not going to illustrate this book but once again, I need your opinion on whether to use digital or normal art. yes, I know my arts pretty awful but I like to draw ^^
Kanayas POV
As soon as I got the call from vriska that she was coming over with terezi, I quickly rolled off my bed and stuffed the notebook I was writing fan fiction in under my pillow. Writing fanfics was a guilty pleasure. normally I wrote about wizards and vampires or anything supernatural but recently I'd been writing about my troll AU. I included nepetas quadrants with super complicated explanations and ndrew a shipping chart.
There was a knock on my door. Luckily nobody was home, porrim was out with her friends shopping or something.
"coming" I yelled as the knocks grew more impatient.
I could hear vriska complaining that I was taking so long and I could literally see rolling her eyes.
I opened the door and vriska stepped in.
"finally!" she looked down at me smiling.
My heart fluttered. I had to admit, I have developed a little crush on her. but not as big as the one I have on rose.
Terezi came in more slowly, tripping but managing to stay balanced. I liked terezi, she was very sweet and always managed to cheer me up through pesterchum when I was feeling down. vriska just ignored me when I was sad and talked about herself.
"You homes alone?" vriska asked, setting down a large box of nerds on my desk as we walked into my room.
"yup, porrim hanging out with her friends. I think its kankri, meenah and Rufioh" I sit back on my bed, guarding my pillow.
terezi sits on my desk chair, the once with the spinning seat and wheels. she starts spinning around, pushing herself with her cane.
"probably spending your pocket money" vriska says.
I frown. now that I think about it, she's probably telling the truth.
"why are you here again?" I ask.
vriska spun around terezi and she let out a yelp then went back to devouring nerds. "just wanted to hang and help with your awesome AU".
"Oh OK cool, anything you'd like to know that I haven't told you about it?" I rest my hands on my lap neatly.
"Yup" vriska nods,"so do trolls have parents or..?"
"they have these beasts which are completely white called lusus. they look after the trolls from a young age but its the trolls responsibility to feed them. For example, your lusus is a massive spider who only eats other trolls".
"that's awesome" vriska smirks.
"spiders are gross" terezi stops spinning and sticks out her tongue at vriska.
"and terezi, your lusus is a dragon but there were so complications and it never hatched from its egg" I try to explain its story. I gave it a backstory like this because I wanted it to be unique. and I knew everyone else would complain about a story like that. But it fits with terezis back story perfectly since she got blinded and stopped talking to anyone. she practically took care of herself, teacher herself how to walk up and down the stairs before getting a cane.
"Hell yes, dragon lusus!" terezi grins.
"And even though it had never hatched, you can still communicate with it through your dreams" I went on.
"Dragons are lame" vriska rolled her eyes. "Terezi!"
Terezi spun around, "accidentally" drubbing her with her cane.
"I bet karkats lusus is a crab. Since he's always crabby and also a Cancer" terezi guessed.
"Actually, you're right" I smiled.
"So our characters are based off our star signs?"
"yes" I nod.
"So gamzees lusus is a goat, tavros's is a bull? nepetas is a lion..." terezi hesitated.
"actually, nepetas is a two mouthed cat. Hence her typing quirk".
"ooohhh, that's clever".
We talked like this for about an hour until Porrim came back and kicked terezi and vriska out.
