Karkats POV
I settled down in my seat, maths textbook in front of me. I turned to Eridan who was scribbling down the answers in his book easily. I shuffle in my seat, trying to look over his rapidly moving arm.
"Eridan, can you help me?" I asked him, trying to look under his arm.
Eridan turned his head to look at me. His eyes narrowing again from behind his hipster glasses.
"No way Kar" eridan scoffed, moving his book out of my line of sight.
"I hate you" I growl, propping my head on my hand and looking over to terezi.
She was talking to vriska, a goofy smile on her face. Nepeta was probably drawing cats and trying to get them to make OC's or something. I felt a pang of jealously towards them, they were so lucky they weren't on a table with a bunch of retards.
I stood up and walked over to our maths teacher, ready to ask once again if I could move. An idea popped into my head.
"I don't get the work miss" I said quietly as to not disturb the lesson.
"Ask the people on for table" she said rudely, turning back to do whatever she was doing before I came.
"But they won't help me" I whine.
"Have you asked all of them?" She asked, a disappointed look on her face.
I nod, trying to make it lo like thruth when in reality, I only asked Eridan because none else really cared about me. Well,Eridan didn't care about me, he was just unfortunate enough to sit next to me.
"Are you teling the truth?" The teacher questioned, sensing my hesitation.
I nod again, staring at my feet, then to the clock. Yes, only five minutes to go then it's braketime!
"OK ten I guess we'll sort you out a new seat" she shrugged, catching that I was looking at terezis table.
She smiles slightly and shook her head, something she hardly ever did. I widen my eyes a little in surprise. Suddenly the bell rang, making everyone stop working and begin to gather up their stuff and place it in their bags.
The teacher dismissed us and I walked outside t classroom, waiting for terezi to come out. When she did, she sensed me and smirked.
"Hey karkles" she nodded at me, walking behind me as I made my way to where we hung out. Some other friends were there already. Sollux had brought Aradia with him, vriska had followed us and was now pestering tavros and kanaya was leaning against the wall, staring at the floor.
"Hey kanaya, you feeling better?" I asked her.
She looked up and smiled "yeah, porrim was being a jerk and took my phone, that's all" she shrugged a little.
"Your big sisters worse than mine!" Terezi commented.
"Nah, your sisters pretty cool" kanaya replied grimly.
"That's what you think" terezi smirked mysteriously.
"Let's just say you both got lucky, kankri is the worst" I say stubbornly.
Both girls nod, exchanging amused glances. At least, that's what I think I saw behind the red glass covering her old pretty teal eyes that were now a milky white colour.
"Whatve you got next?" I ask terezi.
"Tech, you?" She recalls.
"Uhh, same" I get out my timetable and a carton of apple juice.
I sip my drink as I chat with kanaya until the bell rings. We all go inside, ready for our next lesson.
