“Hey Ashton it’s um…. It’s Michael. Don’t like, freak out but I’m at the hospital with Des so if you could come get Minnie and Ashes that would be great.”
“Yeah hey, me again, I just realized that you’re probably freaking out since I didn’t tell you why we’re at the hospital but if I told you you’d freak out anyway.”
“It’s me. Yeah, uh, sorry it’s nothing bad. Well it’s not good… It’s I don’t know. You did some things, some things happened and now we’re here but uh…. The girls have had several bags of chips and a shit ton of candy so I advise you hurry.”
“Ashton. It’s Michael. They’re robbing me blind man, my wallet is empty and so is the damn gift shop pick up your mother fuc….I’m so sorry…. You two have a lovely day….sorry. Ashton just come on.”
“Hi Daddy. It’s Minnie. Uncle Mikey said to call you. I’m bored can you come get us? I love you. Bye.”
“Hi Daddy. I’m sorry I was bad and pushed Minnie k? Just no more hitting please k? Uncle Michael said to come on. Love you bye bye.”
“Ashton. Pick up the goddamn phone or it’s gonna get ugly.”
“Hey, Ash, it’s Jess. We’re all at the hospital with Destiny can you come either pick up the girls or stay with her to Mike and I can take the girls home?”
“Ashton man what the actual fuck. This is getting dumb now. Are you hurt? Are you dead? Are you not talking to me what is your deal?”
“ASHTON IRWIN PICK UP!”
“Ashton if you don’t call me back in the next ten minutes I’m sending Calum to come check on you and if you’re not dead, I’m gonna kill you.”
“Knock knock, who’s there? Not you asshole. Pick up the phone.”
“Ash please. For the love of all that is holy answer your phone.”
“I called Calum.”
“Ashton okay, I’m worried now what the hell are you doing?”
“Ashton pick up the phone!”
My eye wide I turned off the message and hastily punched in Michael’s phone number which he answered after one ring.
“Look who decided to answer his phone.” He spat in way of greeting.
“Hi, sorry.” I mumbled, “I went for a run are you okay? Is Des okay? What happened? What did I do?”
“What did I do?” Michael questioned, “I screamed at her, insulted her, called her stupid and said she’d never be the mother of the children she raised which I had cheating on her while I was getting around living the dream on tour… oh wait. No I didn’t. THAT WAS YOU!”
Wincing, I held the phone away from my ear.
“Just tell me what happened.” I muttered.
“I’m not.” He snapped, “She can tell you herself. Here.”
My eyes wide, I chewed the skin surrounding my thumbnail, my heart swelling at the sound of the voice a part of me feared I’d never hear again.
“Ash?” Destiny whispered.
“Yes?” I questioned, “What happened? Are you okay? Why are you in the hospital? What’s wrong?”
“Ash.” She repeated, even quieter than before, “I’m pregnant.”
My mind reeling, I realized my phone had slipped through my fingertips and then I was falling to the floor.

“What are you in for?”
“What aren’t I in for, that’ an easier answer.”
“Will the both of you shut up.”
“You shut up.”
“Don’t tell me what to do.”
“Hey! All of ya’ll better stop talking before I throw you right back in you cells!”
Looking down I watched as the police officer shuffled past.
Rolling my eyes I focused on the person infront of me. One person between me and freedom.
“Next.” The officer behind the front desk sighed.
Looking relived the large blonde infront of me shuffled forward.
“Number.” The officer sighed.
Pricking my ears I listened to the response.
“Six hundred and twenty five.”
“Alright, very good, crime charged with.”
“Abuse, domestic violence and disturbance.”
“Alright, the name of your lawyer.”
“John Simpson.”
“Okay, and age, last then first.”
“Stacey. George Regina.”
“Alright Regina.” The officer sighed, “You’re free.”
Smirking the tall blonde woman turned on her heel and held out her wrists. An officer stepped forward and uncuffed her and then she was walking away out the front doors of the large, woman’s correctional facility and prison and into freedom.
Sighing, the police officer turned to face me, “Next.”
Sorry this was really short and bad, I just wanted to upload something.
