I think everyone, everywhere and some time in their life thinks about growing up, getting married and starting a family.

After the horrors of high school, the craziness of college, the thrill of a career there’s something exciting and magical about the concept of falling in love.

Of meeting the one person out there that you know you want to spend the rest of your life with, or end up divorcing fifteen years later, but at the time it’s a nice feeling.

Every girl dreams of walking down the aisle in white, all eyes on her, feeling like a princess for one day, making her way to her prince charming and every guy dreams of finding a girl that his parents will be be proud he brings home.

And then there’s kids. Some people have one, others two and still others nineteen, although those people usually have television shows.

There’s just something about having your own family that I think everyone looks forward to at least a little bit.

I never really thought about it when I was younger until I met my girlfriend Destiny, and until I ended up in the possession of my first daughter Minnie, who wasn’t technically mine but I loved her like she was anyway, and then came Ashley. Who I’m not gonna lie was the product of a drunken hookup but I mean, it all worked out.

But that was three years ago.

I suppose I should probably introduce myself.

My name is Ashton Irwin and I’m Twenty-four. Up until today I was a drummer in one of the biggest bands in the world but then it was goodbye rock star life and hello family life.
