"He fucked up."
"What the fuck do you mean he fucked up?"
"The band is fine, he only stabbed one of their girlfriends."
"Dammit!"
"Bradly?"
"What?"
"Are we going to hire someone else?"
"No.... No. If I want this done right, I'm going to have to do it myself."
Ashton's Pov –
"I'm just suggesting.... You and I might not be the best thing."
"Lukey....no! If you leave me... I'll....I'll haunt you for the rest of your life!"
"Mason, I'm sorry. I don't want to be with you, life is too short to waste it wasting time on people that you don't love."
"You don't love me?"
"No I'm sorry."
"Then who do you love?"
Shoving his hands in his pockets, Luke glanced over at Charlie who was tying Cooper's tie.
"Daddy?"
Feeling someone tug on my sleeve I looked down at Ashley.
"What's up Ash?" I questioned picking her up and placing her on my hip.
"Why is uncle Cal crying?" she questioned resting her head on my shoulder.
Sighing, I glanced over at Calum who was staring down at the limp, lifeless corpse of the only girl he'd ever truly loved lying in a velvet lined box infront of him.
"He's sad." I said gently, tucking her short hair behind her ear.
"Why?"
"He misses Grace."
"He should wake her up then."
Closing my eyes I took a deep breath and forced a smile, "She's not sleeping sweetheart."
"Yes she is. I see her sleeping."
"Ashes...she's um....she's not going to wake up."
"Why not?"
"Because she's...dea...she um...she's...she's on a permanent vacation."
"Ashley frowned, "What does that mean?"
I sighed, "It means it's like.... Do you remember when Mommy and Daddy went to France and you stayed with grandma and you missed us?"
"Yeah." She replied slowly.
"It's kind of like that." I said softly, "Only she's not going to come back."
"Why not?"
I sighed, not knowing what to say.
"You okay?" Michael questioned coming up behind me.
"What's a permit vacation?" Ashley questioned, cocking her head to the side like a small puppy.
Looking surprised, Michael ran his fingertips through his hair.
"I didn't know how to explain it." I mumbled.
Cramming his hands in his pockets, Michael rocked back and forth on his feet, "Ashes, do you remember how I told you Amelia and Ernest are angels?"
"Yeah." She replied.
"Now Grace is an angel too." He said gently.
"No she's not silly!" Ashley laughed, "She's right there!"
