The School Play

Today was our daughters school play. I couldn't wait to see how well our daughters were in acting. They were doing a "Alice in Wonderland" play. Alice in Wonderland was my favorite movie so this play would be good. Cristina was playing as Alice, Ava was playing as The Queen of Hearts, and Ariana was playing as the The White Queen. I couldn't wait to see it. The girls were at school right now rehearsing for their play, and Shawn had some things he needed to do with his career. Today, I had an interview and was performing too. Luckily, the performance was early so I could be able to still go to the play.

Alessia: "Now Shawn, I know you are going to be busy today but please don't forget about the school play."

Shawn: "Don't worry angel, I wouldn't miss a second of it."

Alessia: "Okay, i'll see you soon before 7pm."

Shawn: "Okay, my love."

I pecked him on the cheek.

Alessia: "Love you."

Shawn: "Love you too."

I headed out to my interview and I took a bus with Eric & Adrian. It took about an hour to get there so it wasn't that far from where I lived. I answered questions about my career, Shawn and about my daughters. It was pretty fun answering those questions. After the interview, I performed some songs. I performed some of my old songs and my new ones that i've made. Maybe one of these days, me and Shawn can perform the song we made together since we've never did that and that's what everyone wanted. After performing a few songs, I went to the crowd and touched my fans' hands and they were all going crazy. I took a quick photo with them too. 

After the performance, I headed back home and Shawn wasn't back yet and it was already 3:35pm so now I had to rush out to get the girls. I arrived at the girls' school and saw them wearing their costumes through the gymnasium. Cristina looked pretty cute in her Alice costume. I opened the door a little to hear them. I was smiling at how amazing they sound. Cristina was taking her part pretty well and so was Ava and Ariana. After hearing them, I closed the door lightly so their teacher wouldn't notice. I waited in the hall till they were done. They finished practicing at 4pm so that means I came early but it was better to early than to be late.

I took the girls home and they were really excited about tonight.

Alessia: "I heard you girls practicing, you sounded great."

Ava: (smiles) "Mom! You weren't suppose to hear us practice!"

Cristina and Ariana laughed.

Ariana: "Yeah, you weren't suppose to hear it until tonight!"

Alessia: "Awww haha i'm sorry, i didn't mean to listen. I came a little early that's why I decided to have a little look."

Ava: "Ok but we'll take the compliment."

I smiled.

Alessia: "You're really good at being Alice, Cristina."

Cristina: "Thanks, but i'm kind of nervous about tonight."

Alessia: "Aww why?"

Cristina: "Well, I know that i'm good at my part and everyone says so, but what if i forget my lines?"

Alessia: "Aww don't be so hard on yourself, you'll do great tonight. I saw you practicing today and you were really good. You didn't even have your lines with you to say it, you were doing without the paper. Just pretend as if no one's there watching you and just be yourself. Sometimes what you say can happen. If you're worried or if you say that you'll forget it, then it's gonna happen. So, just stay positive and don't worry about it. You're gonna be amazing."

Cristina: (smiles) "Thanks, Mom."

Me and Cristina hugged.

Ariana: "But where's dad?"

Alessia: "He's busy.."

Cristina: "He's still gonna come, right?"

Alessia: "Of course he will, he wouldn't miss a second of it."

Ava: "My mind keeps telling me that he's not gonna come."

Alessia: "He will."

Before 7pm, we went to school and Shawn was still not here. I was now starting to get worried. The girls were already all dressed and was discussing with their classmates. Ava saw me getting worried and she walked up to me.

Ava: "Do you see dad?"

Alessia: "No, I don't see him."

Ava: "I knew it, he's not coming..."

Alessia: "Aww Ava, he won't forget about you girls."

As I was still discussing with Ava, my phone was vibrating and it was a phone call from Shawn so I answered. But it wasn't Shawn that was on the phone, it was his sister. She sounded as if she was crying and was worried. I asked her what was wrong and she said Shawn has been in a bad car accident. I couldn't believe what she said. The words of her saying it kept repeating in my brain and my heart just shattered as I started to cry. I hung up the phone.

Ava: "Mom, why are you crying?"

Alessia: (sobs) "I-I don't know how to tell you girls this but.."
