"Eventually you'll end up where you need to be, with who you're meant to be with, and doing what you should be doing"

I had read this book a thousand times but for some reason that one quote always messes with my head.

Dani: Wilson you with me?

Celine: No, sorry. What'd you say?

Dani: Have you made any progress on the Freedman case

Celine: No, I've looked at the file a million times over again, we're missing something I just don't know what

Dani: Well Gil went to go get something he said would be able to help so

We heard Gil talking to someone, so we got up to go and see what was going on. We walked into the meeting room seeing a brown haired, blue eyed man having an intense conversation while looking over the files. Gil looked up and noticed we'd entered the room, and he tapped the man.

Gil: Malcolm Bright this is Detective-

Celine: Let us introduce ourselves to the mystery man

Gil: My mistake

Dani: Dani Powell

Celine: Wilson

Malcolm: Is that your first name-

Celine: It's what you're going to call me

Gil: Where's JT?

Right on cue JT came walking into the room, standing next to me, and looking around at all of us.

Gil: You're late

JT: Yea that's my bad, who's this?

Celine: Malcolm Bright, Gil has brought him in

JT: Why?

Celine: Excellent question

Gil: Malcolm is a profiler; he's going to help on the Freedman case

Malcolm: I'd like to go back to the crime scene

Gil: Wilson will take you

I nodded and headed out the door with him following behind me. We got to my car and he was too much of a mystery for me to not ask questions.

Celine: So, Gil is just picking random profilers off the street now?

Malcolm: I actually work for the FBI, I'm just visiting family

Celine: So, what? You just look at a crime scene that I've spent hours at and just discredit our investigation

Malcolm: Not exactly. I was looking at the file and there's only one piece missing from the puzzle

Celine: And you're gonna find it?

Malcolm: Hopefully, I don't see crime scenes the way most people do

Celine: And why is that?

Malcolm: You ask a lot of questions

Celine: I'm curious

Malcolm: Can I ask you a question then?

Celine: Nope

By that time, we'd arrived back at the crime scene. I gave him a small smile before getting out the car. I stood back as I watched him walk around the crime scene, analyzing every little detail, saying a lot of things I'd already heard before.
