Malcolm Bright

Celine: You do look tired Malcolm, you okay?

Malcolm: Didn't really sleep

Celine: Nightmare?

Malcolm: Yea

Celine: About what?

Malcolm: Nothing, let's just focus on the case

She nodded even though she still look concerned. I decided to pass the time by flipping through the file, the picture of Mr. Stone laying there with his daughter caused my brain to trigger my nightmare from last night.

I walked through the dark hallway, unsure of where I was or where I was going. I eventually got into a dimly lit room, where Celine & Paisley were sitting.

Voice-You can't save them

Malcolm-WAIT

A gunshot went off and the room went dark.

I closed the file and took a deep breath, Celine glanced over at me once again. We had arrived at the crime scene.

Celine: What'd you find out?

Malcolm: Whoever our killer was knew the tenant was trying to sell this building, but he was rushing the process so I thought maybe we could come back and figure out why.

She nodded and we started walking around trying to find something. Her phone rang and she answered it, but I kept walking around, I took another step and heard the floor start to crack.

Celine: Malcolm...don't move. I think we found the answer to your question

She hung up the phone and with the slightest movement the ground cracked a little more.

Celine: The foundation is so bad if we fall through we're going all the way to the ground level

Malcolm: How are we going to get out of here?

Celine Wilson

He began looking around for something to get us out of this. He looked towards the window as the trash truck started to back into the alley next to the building.

Malcolm: We have to jump

Celine: Malcolm-

Malcolm: What other choice do we have? It could collapse any second, so we don't really have time to come up with a better plan

Celine: Okay just give me a minute

I pulled out my phone and dialed Jessica's number, she answered, and I put it on speaker. You could hear Paisley playing in the background.

Celine: Hey Jessica, can we talk to Paisley really quick?

Jessica: Of course. Okay, go ahead she can hear you

Malcolm: Hey Bugs!

Paisley: Hi daddy, is mommy there?

Celine: Yes, hi honey. Listen we just wanted to call to tell you we love you very much, but we have to go now

Paisley: Love you too

Jessica: Are you guys' okay?

I opened my mouth to answer but the floor cracked some more making Malcolm and I both go wide eyed.

Malcolm: We have to go now mother!

I hung up and he grabbed my hand pulling me towards me and the floor cracked more with every step. We didn't even count down, just jumped out the window and landed on top of the trash bags.

Celine: Oh god this is disgusting

We crawled out of the trash truck, and the garbage man looked at us in disbelief. After having a rather long day we were at Malcolm's house, and we were no longer stinky.

Paisley: What'd you do today mommy?

Celine: Daddy & I went on quite the adventure, what did you today P?

Paisley: Well first Nonna took me shopping then-

She continued to tell Malcolm and I about her day, and she had nothing but our undivided attention. Nothing better than listening to your 3-year-old tell you all about five different tea parties. Austin O'Malley said it best:

'A child is an uncut diamond'

There was no better way to sum up Paisley, she was perfect; raw & uncut. She was ours.
