Chapter 2: Hogwarts Express

Y/n POV

As my parents and I arrived at Hogwarts Express, I saw Hermione standing near the door, looking for someone. I think she's looking for us. I said goodbye both to my parents and they went back out. Something urgent came up in their office so there was no time to wait until the train leaves. I walked towards Hermione and she looked quite a bit worried.

"Have you seen Ron and Harry??" said Hermione worriedly.

"No I didn't even see them at the King's Cross Station" I answered calmly.

"I've been waiting for them since 20 minutes ago! Train is about to leave in 5 minutes and they aren't here yet! I'm really worried for them" said Hermione, while she kept pacing back and forth.

I put both of my hands on Hermione's shoulder and kinda screamed at her a bit "Hermione, calm down! They're probably inside the train right now as we speak!". She took a deep breath and nodded "Ok, let's go find them inside".

As we went inside, the conductor shouted "All aboard!". The train slowly started to move and they all bid goodbye to their family.

We started to go through all the lots and none of them were Harry nor Ron. We went at the very last lot and inside was Fred and George. Hermione and I looked at each other, shockingly. Hermione started to ask them "Have you guys seen Ron and Harry??". Fred and George looked at each other with confusion.

"No, I thought they were with you" said Fred.

"I haven't seen them since we arrived at the King's Cross Station... maybe they were left behind?" said George.

Hermione and I sat down with them, we were completely exhausted from searching each lot in this long train. Fred offered us some Liquorish Wands and Pumpkin Juice. Hermione rejected it while I took them and ate it. Nothing happened much really, we just talk about some stuff that I'm not really interested and I got upset because my book was inside my luggage so I couldn't read it.

HOGWARTS

We arrived at Hogsmeade at night and we decided to go with Fred and George. Before going to the ships, I quickly grabbed my new book from my luggage and started to go with Hermione. We all went to the ships in order to get to Hogwarts. Of course the first years were impressed with the amazing scenery. They all formed a line as usual and waiting for Prof. Mcgonagall while we (2nd years) were already sitting at the table with other students, I sat at the very front near the wall. The Sorting Ceremony will be starting soon. I looked over at the teachers table and saw Prof. Lockhart talking and beside him was Prof. Snape. He was staring into my soul and I just smiled at him and he looked away immediately.

After a few minutes, the first years were forming two lines and kept looking on the floating candles. As usual, Mcgonagall read the same thing again and started to call names.

"Patricia Belle" said Prof. Mcgonagall while reading. She proceeds to sit down on the little chair which was way up front and The Sorting Hat was thinking "Hmmm...... Ravenclaw!". Ravenclaws were cheering and Patricia went towards the table. Prof. Mcgonagall continued "Sean Ruiz".

He slowly walked towards the chair and sat down. Prof. Mcgonagall puts The Sorting hat on his head "Difficult.... Very difficult indeed..... there are times that you're wise sometimes not. Better be.... Ravenclaw!". Ravenclaws cheered again.

I got bored and started to read my book. I straightened my back and started to read.

Severus' POV

As the Sorting Ceremony went on, I wasn't really interested in any of this I just wanted to be in my office alone. Gilderoy kept on babbling about his Magical Me, his achievements and his looks. My eyes started to wander on the student tables and it landed on y/n. She was sitting like a lady and was reading a new book. She looks mature and taller than last year... She even put a new hairstyle. A better one
