Chapter 12: Partners Day!

Y/n POV:

It was almost time for a quiz in Potions so we hurriedly went to the Great Hall because we might be late.

When the four of us arrived, there were boys from 3rd year to 7th year students, surrounding the Slytherin table!

"Now what's going on??" Hallie asked with a confused look.

The three of us shrugged and I replied Hallie "I don't know... maybe the boys wanted to see me I guess?".

She rolled her eyes, "Are you sure? Don't assume things y/n".

As we move closer to our spot, I saw a boy holding a jar full of liquid. Not sure if it's a potion or a drink.

"Hey y/n! Glad you're here! We have a favor to ask" said Daniel, which is a Hufflepuff student.

My friends and I sat down at the same time and placed our notebooks and quill on the table.

"What favor?" I asked and he replied "I want you to smell this potion and describe what does it smell like".

"Ohhh so it's a Amortentia Potion? Sure! I'll smell it!" I said excitedly. I wonder if I still have my feelings towards Prof. Snape or... it changed.

He gave an amazed expression "So you know this potion?? But you're still in 4th year!" he said.

I giggled "I know a lot of things, especially on potions".

"Hey y/n! Maybe the potion would smell like me!". I looked up and searched who that voice was and it was Draco.

I rolled my eyes and smiled "In your dreams Draco!".

Cedric pushed through the crowd "Y/n, maybe it would smell like me? I bet!" said Cedric excitedly.

"I'm sure it won't be you two!" said Harry.

"You too Harry?!" I said loudly.

"He's not alone y/n, I'm with him. I'm also curious about this... this potion thing" said Ron.

Draco, Crabbe and Goyle laughed, "You seriously think it would be you two?".

A lot of boys were debating about what the smell would be. I got a headache from all their noises "Enough! All of you! Do you want me to smell the potion or not?" I said angrily.

They stood silent. Someone talked in a soothing voice"What's going on here?" and we looked up front and it was Prof. Dumbledore with Prof. Snape.

Does he have to follow Prof. Dumbledore everywhere??

"Prof. Dumbledore... these gentlemen are curious about the Amortentia Potion" I said calmly.

"Amortentia Potion? Can you explain what kind of potion it is Ms. l/n?" Prof. Dumbledore asked nicely.

"Sure professor. Amortentia is a love potion that does not create actual love, but gives the drinker a powerful obsession and infatuation with the giver of the potion. It is usually either forced upon someone or covertly given. Once smelled, it is said that you can smell the one you truly love. After, it gives a color to tell who that person might be and you're the one who knows that person and maybe... your friends too".

He looks at Prof. Snape "Is this true Severus? Can you confirm if her information is true?" he asked.

Prof. Snape nods his head "Yes headmaster... she is... indeed correct" he said gravely.
