Chapter 3: The Meeting

(Note: I edited something from the last chapter, where y/n wrote a letter. I accidentally put spoilers😅. I'm really sorry! I'm a bad writer :<)

Y/n POV

We were all panting heavily. We drank water immediately then we heard clapping behind us. We all looked back at the same time and we saw Prof. Dumbledore and Prof. Snape, standing near the huge doors.

"Excellent singing! Why didn't you tell me immediately Severus that these girls can sing?" Prof. Dumbledore asked.

"Prof. Dumbledore..." then we stood up. They came closer "Um... we were just... singing randomly. We didn't know that we sing quite well not until you complimented. Thank you..." I said while smiling genuinely.

"I have to confess, Prof. Snape here told me about your singing. He said that you've been singing in the Common Room over the summer and I only knew now. I must ask you.... can the four of you.... perhaps... perform for The Yule Ball?" Prof. Dumbledore asked nicely.

We all looked at each other "Well professor...." Roshan pushed me gently forward "We recommend y/n to perform for The Yule Ball. She's far better than any of us" said Roshan.

Prof. Dumbledore looks at me "Would you like to perform for The Yule Ball Ms. l/n?". The girls were whispering on my back "Go y/n... take it" over and over again. On the other, Hallie whispered something different "Go on y/n... do it... do it... Prof. Snape will be watching..."

I nodded "Yes professor... I'll be honored to perform for The Yule Ball" I said while smiling widely and giggling inside.

"This is wonderful! I would like to request the four of you to have a meeting about it here in The Great Hall after dinner" said Prof. Dumbledore excitedly.

We said altogether "Sure thing professor..." then I finished the sentence "We'll be here on time". Prof. Snape looked at me for a moment then they left. When they left they were screaming silently. "Oh look! Y/n blushing!" said Hallie

"Oh stop it Hal! I'm not blushing.... it's just warm here..." I said while still smiling and holding my cheek.

"Come on y/n! I know you were blushing! I saw Prof. Snape looking at you before they left!" said Hallie while jumping around.

"I actually saw it too! The way he looked at you... it was so... ARGHH!" Arkette said excitedly. These girls are really supportive when it comes to crushes. After, we went back to the Common Room to sleep. We only have 3 hours before dinner starts.

*Night Time*

Arkette and I woke up earlier than Roshan and Hallie. We stood up and stretched for a while and started to wake up the girls. I clapped and talked loudly "Wake up girls! It's already dinner time! We promised Prof. Dumbledore that we'll be on time!".

They were groaning. "In the name of Merlin just let me sleep!" said Hallie while adjusting her position. I rolled my eyes and we pulled their blankets. They curled themselves up so what Arkette and I did was, we pulled them towards the floor.

"Alright, alright! I'm up" said Hallie while rubbing her eyes. "Let's just get this over with" said Roshan while stretching.

"Oh right! Hallie can I borrow your black dress? The one that we dressed up fancy?" I asked her.

"Yeah it's in my chestbox" said Hallie while yawning then we quickly changed into our clothes. They wore simple and vintage clothes while I was the only one dressing up fancy. Roshan and I helped with their hair, we all had hair down.
