Chapter 5: Last Few Hours

Y/n POV

We woke up pretty early in the morning. I looked at the clock and it was exactly 7am. We immediately did our morning routine, wore our civilian clothes and went straight to the Great Hall for breakfast.

Today's weather was pretty chilly. It's a cloudy day and it looks like it's gonna rain. When we arrived at the Great Hall, I noticed that Prof. Snape wasn't there. I really didn't mind because I was really hungry.

We all went to our same spot and started to eat breakfast. Today's food is sausage and eggs, for the drink it's hot cocoa and water. While we were eating, there was silence in the air and I quite like it. I didn't want anyone to ruin the noise before students arrive.

The professors were the first ones to finish their meals together. They all went out and we were the last ones left. I turned to them and asked

"Do you guys want to go swimming?".

"Yeah... sure why not... It's gonna be the last few hours to swim together here at Hogwarts" said Arkette sadly. I placed my hand on her shoulder and smiled.

"Don't worry! I'm sure we can swim again some other time! Maybe... even free time? Or when we skip class? Or maybe during night time?" I said in a happy tone.

"Yeah.... I'm in too" said Roshan while finishing up her meal.

"Count me in, it's been real fun with you guys so I wanna spend until the last minute of our time laughing, smiling, singing and just enjoying" said Hallie while some food in her mouth.

"Don't talk when your mouth is full Hal!" I said in a anger tone. They all laughed and eventually, me too. I didn't want this to end, I just wish that we could be like this forever. They all finished up their meal and we went back to the Common Room.

When we arrived at the Common Room, we quickly changed into our bathing suits and tied our hair into a messy bun. We carried our towel and wands and we headed out to Thr Black Lake.

Along our walk, we were talking about girl stuff, you know, the usual. Prof. Snape passed through us but we didn't mind, we just kept on walking. In the corner of my eye, I saw him turning back on our direction.

*At The Black Lake*

We hung our towel on a branch and placed our wands beside our slippers. We layed down on the dirt while our legs were in the water. This time we are planning about our hairstyle for the ball.

"How about we only tie our hair into a ponytail?" Hallie asked

"That's too plain, we wouldn't be at the center of attention. Hmmmm.... how 'bout we braid our hair? Maybe a french braid?" said Arkette.

Roshan closed her eyes. "I can visualize it, it would look horrible". Roshan sat down and looked at me "How 'bout you y/n? Any ideas?".

I just looked at the gloomy sky and think. Then an idea popped up into my head. I sat down and looked at them "Alright! Now I know what our hairstyle will be"

I looked at Roshan "Roshan, do you know how to do the flower crown braid?".

"I'm not sure if it's the right braid that i imagined but you can show me on the day of the ball" said Roshan.

"Then it's settled! It's gonna be kinda like a surprise for all of you" I said with excitement. I layed back down and closed my eyes.

"Now, now... let's have fun! This is what we came for right?" said Hallie. I opened my eyes and looked over to their side. I saw them stretching before jumping in.
