When we got to my apartment I made Mattia sit down on my couch and see me try on the things I got.

A: Okay wait ri-

I was cut off by a knock on the door. I rolled my eyes and Mattia got it.

M: Um who are you?
?: Is Arianna here?
M: Who's looking for her?

Confusion filled my face so I stood behind Mattia before seeing who it was.

A: Alex...
Alex: Arianna! *smiles* can we talk?

I gulped and took a step back. Mattia saw that I seemed scared so he stood in front of me glaring at Alex.

M: Um sorry buddy but she can't talk right now, we're kind of busy.
Alex: I really need to talk to her man.
M: Look we're busy come back another time.

Mattia said slamming the door on Alex. I let out a sigh of relief and started panicking looking around if there are any cameras.

M: Arianna

I ignored Mattia and closed my curtains.

M: Arianna!

I flinched and turned around looking at Mattia.

M: sorry I didn't mean to scare you, what's wrong? Come here princess.

I broke down and took my pocket knife out about to cut but Mattia snatched it out of my hand.

M: Arianna stop, stand up baby, I'm here don't cry.
A: leave me alone.

Mattia helped me up and hugged me tightly. I cried into his chest while he rested his chin on my head rubbing my back softly.

Flashback💔

A: You said we were over!
Alex: that doesn't mean you can hoe around Ari!
A: I wasn't hoeing arou-

Alex slapped me hard making me fall back and he got a knife stabbing me once on my right thigh. I yelled for help and he got closer to me.

Alex: I'm watching you Ari, don't try to run.

Alex said throwing the knife at me and leaving me scared, in pain, and crying in my apartment.

M: Breathe princess...I'm here, your safe love.

I let out a deep breathe and hugged him back tightly.

A: Can I sleep over at your house? Just for a few weeks until I find a new place?
M: of course princess.

He kissed my forehead and looked at me softly.

3 days later🏠 (after she moved in with him)

A: *laughs* bitch give me back my cupcake!
M: Get it.

Mattia said running into the living room. I ran to go get my cupcake but stopped by the tv.

News: Chicago Apartment caught on fire this morning, no one knows what or who started it but everyone made it out safely thank god.

I looked at the tv and saw my apartment.

A: ....he's not going to stop.
M: But your safe Arianna, I'm not going to let him hurt you princess.
A: What if he finds us?! He's going to kill me!

I said starting to panic again. I act tough around everyone but in reality I'm scared. Alex abused me for years and I thought he loved me. I realized he just wanted I hurt me but now he wants to kill me.

M: Arianna look at me, I'm here baby.

Mattia said kissing my forehead softly.

M: Your safe princess.
