Metroid: Extinction

Battle Of The Hunters

A green door opened up into an outdoor desert. The walls of the cavern were several miles apart and stretched upwards for about 200 feet. The cavern ceiling had many holes which allowed the bright sunlight and fresh air to flow down into the desert below. A dune nearby lay ontop a small opening that led below ground . A single stalactite hung from the ceiling in the opening under the dune.

5 space pirate arc transports flew down from the sky above, the sides opened up as pirates jumped down to confront their foe.  1 commando , 1 bruiser and 5 ablative pirates stood infront of the hunter and right as she was about to attack , a pirate attack skiff came down between the transports.  Only one pirate was ontop of it, Weavel!,

The commando roared and the ablatives sprinted at Samus , all of them with scythes at the ready ! She grabbed the closest to her by the forearm and flung it to the ground behind her , then scattered the others with a super missile. They rolled along the sand to avoid the explosion. She turned and melted the pirate on the ground with the plasma beam before screw attacking into the next closest to her, shattering the armour and bursting its stomach open  . The commando hit her shoulder with several shots before going invisible as the bruiser swung its fists at her in blind rage . A charged plasma shot impacted its nose and turned the entire body to ash in seconds .  The commando crept up behind her but she back flipped and snapped it's neck as her legs hit it.  Weavel simply stood on the skiff and waited for the last 3 pirates to be dispatched before jumping down to face his opponent once more.

"I couldn't care less about how humiliated and defeated I made you feel. You pirates have once again stained another ancient place with your presence and I will not tolerate it.  So back down or I will utterly destroy you again." Samus said angrily as she slowly stepped toward him . As he reached for the battlehammer she shot it out of his hands and speed boosted toward him, grabbing his throat and dragging him along the ground as she ran. Weavel separated into the half turret and the lower body hit Samus numerous times with its bolts , forcing her to drop the upper half and boost out of the way with the morph ball. She fired a super missile at the stationary target but the upper body lept into the air and cut right through the super missile with its scythe. The body reformed and weavel retrieved the battlehammer from the ground, shooting at Samus as he sprinted toward her . He propelled himself over her and began swinging at her from behind. As she turned into the morph ball, his pronged feet grabbed onto her and threw her in the air, allowing him to swipe at her with the scythe. She unmorphed and forcefully kicked his visor which caused him to stumble back a bit. The back of the varia suit had a deep gash in it similar to the stomach . Further enraged she used the x ray visor and wave beam to attack the joints of weavel's armour. He jumped and rolled along the ground attempting to avoid the hits but getting sand mixed in with his body caused him to move a bit slower.  A charged shot smashed its way into the battlehammer as he stood up , the battlehammer exploded and he fell onto his back.  Samus fired a charged plasma shot at his chest which knocked him back down as he tried to get up  . She dragged Weavel to the ground infront of her with the grapple beam when he eventually got back up and somersaulted over his head, hitting the ground below weavel with a missile as she landed. He was thrown forward by the force and landed on his back again. He quickly stood up right as a shot connected with his visor and shattered it to pieces! The force of the impact spun him around and he had to turn around to face his foe again.

Weavel's face was now clearly visible with the visor gone. His face was a dark red and looked like it had been skinned around the eyes. His Lower jaw was entirely mechanical and his eyes seemed to indicate pain as sand brushed against his exposed flesh. But they quickly narrowed, showcasing the vengeance he felt deep inside.  Samus pointed her cannon at him

"Get off this planet"

She fired a missile directly at his chest and he didn't even attempt to avoid it. The blast sent him flying into the small cave opening under the dune and he crashed into the stalactite, breaking it and falling down into the darkness below with it crashing down ontop of him. 

Samus took out one of the transports as three others immediately retreated and the final one attempted to shoot at her.  A few seconds later and it too was blown to pieces, the smoking rubble burying itself in the sand. She strolled toward the dune and attempted to look to see if she could spot the ground inside but without luck. She crouched under and slid into the cave , dragging sand with her as she made it inside.  At the bottom she rose to her feet and watched weavel limping away several feet infront of her, the sand in his joints preventing him from separating in two.  Two gamma metroids stepped out of the shadows and he swiped at them furiously, trying to stay alive as they advanced. His scythe embedded itself in the lower jaw of one of them and sliced vertically down its throat. The other gamma managed to paralyse him with its electrical burst and he growled in frustration. Samus landed a charged plasma shot in the open  mouth of the gamma , vaporising it from the inside . Reverting back to ice beam she walked quickly over to Weavel and he squinted as she readied a charged shot .

"You're pathetic "

With that she blasted him and the ice pinned him to the wall . He remained there trapped and unable to escape , unable to separate or cut his way through. Weavel tilted his head as much as he could to face Samus as she prepared a missile. Panic began to rise within his eyes and he desperately tried to wiggle and break free of the ice.

"I killed you once before, I could do it again but I don't need to. My point is proven and I'm not as merciless as you space pirates .  Let this be your only warning Weavel, I am sure we will meet again and next time I won't be so forgiving. I meant what I said, leave this planet!  The pirates are already too late I've exterminated nearly all of the metroids and thanks to this little encounter I've just had the number lowered to 22 This is the end of all of it.  It doesn't have to be your end though "

She lowered her cannon and walked away without looking back or saying another word as Weavel remained encased against the wall .  She shot open a blue door and continued her journey.
