Metroid: Extinction

Another Evolution

  A run down industrial like complex welcomed Samus as she stepped into this new area . Vines covered most of the metallic walls , bright lights shone through the vines and tiny mechanical drones scurried along the walls along with various bugs. A hornotoad leaped at the hunter but she swiftly ended its life with a single shot .  This place was huge! The walls extended upwards into the shadows and the eyes of dozens of creatures glared through the walls. She shot open a purple door and entered a room that was lit up perfectly by a nearby generator similar in design to the one previously destroyed. Debris was littered all over the ground and it appeared like the ceiling had caved in at some point.  Near the rubble was the empty shell of an alpha metroid and it dawned upon Samus what this now meant.  A shriek bellowed out as a creature crawled out from the debris . It had four stick like legs with spikes on them, it's body was dark green and it had claws infront of its mouth aswell as four eyes on either side. The creature crawled toward her and prepared a missile while scanning it

"Morphology: Gamma Metroid, The next step in metroid evolution. Gammas have fully developed legs and have an even greater immunity to ice. These creatures shoot electricity bolts from their jaws and paralyse prey, the creature maintains the same weakness as its previous evolution. "

Upon hearing that, the gamma launched its bolt at Samus and she side stepped out of the way, firing missiles at the creature's head as she did so. Two missiles hit but the last one missed as the gamma metroid jumped into the air landed at her feet.  A rumbling enveloped the room as a space pirate attack sniff entered from the ceiling and 4 standard armoured troopers jumped off, They had come for the metroid!  Samus was suddenly caught off guard as the gamma paralysed her with its beam and she fell to the ground defenceless  . Three of the pirates surrounded it and the other one strolled over to Samus. Kicking her aggressively as if in revenge for everything she did against them. It got ready to shoot her but was interrupted as the gamma metroid lunged at one of the pirates and chewed through it it's stomach plating. The other two prepared a capsule that would ensure it but were stopped when it stabbed one of its back legs through one of the pirates knees and bite right through the ankle of the other one.  The one by Samus ran over to assist his comrades when suddenly she recovered and stood up. With immense force she kicked the pirate down the ground snapping its spine instantly . Turning into a ball she rolled toward the metroid and laid a bomb by its legs which knocked it onto its back.  One missile later and the sack on its abdomen was blown to bits reducing the metroid counter to 25.  The three wounded pirates lay helpless as they each waited for a single charge shot to end their pain.
