Chapter 8: Frankie?

Nini's POV

Yesterday Ricky asked me if I wanted to go to Denny's tomorrow. I said yes of course. I'm super excited. Gina posted the video of her and I this morning before school. We are both walking into school now and she is excited to see what EJ has to say about it.

*At school*

"Hey babe" Gina said when she saw EJ.

"Why did you post that?" He asked her, angrily.

"The video? Because I wanted to tell you in a special way. Is that not ok?" She told him.

"No, Gina. I love you too but I was kind of hoping we could keep that between just us and the group" He said.

"So you are embarrassed of me?" She asked him.

"No Gina. That's not what I said..." He started.

"No, but that's what you meant" she told him. Go girl!

"Gina, please" he continued "Hear me out"

"No EJ, I'm gonna be late for class" she said walking off.

"I LOVE GINA PORTER" he shouted. Some girls from around looked hurt. Some girls looked jealous. Some girls looked shocked. Every guy looked shocked.

"Not cool" one of the dudes said, walking past him.

Gina span around to look at him.

"YEAH! THAT'S RIGHT AND I AM NOT EMBARRASSED TO SAY IT! I LOVE GINA PORTER" he shouted "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT IT BUT I DO. I LOVE..."

Gina cut him off by smashing their lips together.

"I love you too baby" she said.

"Yo Nini!" Ricky said behind me.

"Yeah?" I said turning around to see him.

"Where do you want me to pick you up tomorrow?" He asked.

"What about we meet at the park?" I asked.

"Sure, 3pm?" He confirmed.

"Yep" I smiled.

*The next day*

Ricky and I are meeting at the park in half an hour. I'm kinda nervous but also excited.

I touched up my makeup and checked the time. It's only 2:43 and I'm ready so I have to walk.

I walked to the park and met Ricky there. We walked to Denny's but we didn't make it in until I heard my name being shouted from behind me.

"Niniiiiii" I heard. It sounded like Amelia. I turned around.

"Amelia? Bernie? Dirk?" I ran up to them and gave them all a huge hug.

"We've missed you so much Neens" Bernie said.

"Yeah, I didn't have to dare myself to come here. I just came" Dirk smiled. We all laughed at his comment.

"Hey Nini" someone said from behind them.

I looked over their shoulders and saw Jack and Frankie... Only something was different.

"Jack. Frankie" I said, giving them a fake smile "What are you two doing here?"

"Came to see you of course" Jack said, trying to act like nothing ever happened.

I walked towards them.

"Jack don't you dare act like nothing ever happened. I can not believe you..." I stopped mid sentence when I saw Frankie.

"Are you pregnant, Frankie?" I asked her.

"Yes" she answered nervously. I pointed at Jack "Yes, it's Jack's"

"How far along are you?" I asked, scared of the response.

"Five months" she looked everywhere else but at me.

"Wait. So, Jack. You got my best friend pregnant. While we were together?" I asked him.

"Yup" the boy said, nervously.

"What's going on here?" Ricky asked coming up behind me.

"Who's this, Nini?" Jack asked, pointing at Ricky.

"I'm Ricky" He told him.

"He's my boyfriend" I blurted, Ricky looked at me confused but played along with it.

"That's me" he said.

"Prove it then" Jack said "Kiss her"

"Fine" Ricky said and kissed me. It felt magical. "There"

"I can not believe you" I said to Jack as I walked away with Ricky.

"Who were they?" Ricky asked me.

"Ex boyfriend who cheated on me for a year with my best friend and got her pregnant while we were still dating" I said in one breath "Sorry about that whole boyfriend thing. I had to say something or he'd run back into my arms I bet"

"That's fine" he smiled at me "Also, I'm sorry that all that happened. It must be hard"

"Yeah, it was" I confessed.

"I'm so sorry Nini" Amelia said, running over "I shouldn't have brought them but some girl called Gina said they should come"

"Wait. Gina?" I asked.

"Surprise!" Gina said coming out from behind a bush "Sorry. Heard all that. Didn't realize or I wouldn't have asked them to come. You looked sad the other day so I got their numbers off your phone and texted them to come"

"That's fine GG" I told her "I'm glad Amelia, Dirk and Bernie came but I can't say the same about them" I said, looking behind me at Frankie and Jack hugging.

"We're glad we came too" Bernie said.

"Who else is here?" I asked knowing that Gina couldn't have done this alone.

EJ, Kourtney, Big Red, Ashlyn, Carlos and Seb came out from behind other bushes and looked at my shyly.

"Come here guys" I said as I opened my arms up.

Ricky hugged me, followed by Kourt and Gina, followed by Ashlyn, Carlos, Big Red and Seb who dragged EJ with them.

"You lot too" I said to Amelia, Dirk and Bernie.

They came over and we all hugged.

"Let's go get something to eat, yeah?" I asked everyone.

I heard a chorus of "yup" "yes please" and "ok's"

"Ricky is paying" I said, walking into Denny's.

"Why me?" He asked.

"Because you basically asked me out on a date and guys always pay on dates" I told him.

"Fineeee" he said "But just for the record, Gina and the gang forced me into it"

I laughed a fake laugh and sat down. Was it bad that when he said that, my heart felt like it shattered?
