Chapter-16

Zoya was waiting for Aditya outside her pub. It was 1 in the morning. Aditya came and honked loudly. She turned around and saw him waving at her. She went and sat inside the car.
"Hungry?" Aditya questioned while starting the car.
"Yes. So much" Zoya replied while getting comfortable in the car.
"Here, have it." Aditya said and handed her some packets of chips and chocolates. Zoya's eyes twinkled with joy and she grabbed the packets from him literally snatching it away.
"Woah! Calm down. Nobody is going to steal it from you." Aditya chuckled.
"Leave this. I am going to give you a shock now." Zoya said while eating a chip and forwarding the packet to him to eat.
"What?" Aditya asked slightly panicking.
"Eat it first." Zoya said. She gestured him to open his mouth while she picked a chip from the packet and put it in front of his mouth to eat. He ate it and then looked at her.
"Tomorrow is the last day of submission of Mr. Shanghai's assignment." Zoya said grinning mischievously.
"And you are reminding it to me now? Zoya there is still enough time. You could've reminded me a day after tomorrow too. Aditya said smiling sarcastically.
Zoya rolled her eyes at his sarcasm and made him eat another chip.
"I also forgot about it. I will do it now. Maybe I can finish it till morning." Zoya said while pouting.
Aditya frowned at her idea.
The rest of the drive was silent with just Zoya eating her chips while putting some in Aditya's mouth too occasionally.

Zoya yawned and sat on her bed in her room.
The clock struck 2:30 AM. She opened her assignment notebook and huffed an annoying breath. She sat on the bed lazily when she saw a shadow lurking outside the window. She stood up and went to see towards the window. She heard some faint noises coming from the window.
"Who is this?" Zoya managed to say while fear gripped her heart.
"Open your window otherwise you are going to regret." Aditya said while hanging down the pipe and holding the railing, trying to change his voice by making it more shrill. He smirked when his voice did not appear much recognisable. Zoya sensed some familiarity in the voice but she was too scared to register and think anything at the moment.
"No No..Pl.. Please don't do anything. I am opening the window." Zoya sniffed because of fear and muffled sobs and opened the window.
Aditya smacked his forehead annoyingly looking at her over the top innocence but immediately felt bad when he heard her sobs. He jumped from the window inside the room and saw Zoya, covering her face with both her hands and muttering a prayer to her God while trying to control her crying.
"Zoya. It's me. Aditya" Aditya spoke with guilt filled voice while removing her hands from her face.
Zoya looked at him and hugged him tightly, while her cries became a little louder. Aditya hugged her back tightly.
"Zoya Sorry Sorry..Very Sorry...I just wanted to prank you.. please don't cry Zoya." Aditya said while soothing her.
"You are so bad Aditya Hooda." Zoya said while grabbing his shirt in her fist tightly and rubbing her sniffling nose on it. Aditya chuckled looking at his action.
"Zoya Sorry na.. Please I am never going to do it again." Aditya said while looking at her with his puppy eyes.
"Okay" Zoya said and came out of the hug, wiping her tears she looked at him and saw him looking at her seriously.
"What?" Zoya asked looking at his serious face.
"I told you, 'open your window otherwise you will regret' and you just opened it. Seriously Zoya? Do you imagine what could have happened if it was really a thief or something?" Aditya asked with a stern voice.
"I was very scared to think of anything." Zoya said meekly.
"Zoya no, we can't let it go hearing your stupid excuse. It is a serious matter and I can't believe you behaved so stupidly." Aditya said a bit louder.
"Why are you shouting on me?" Zoya sniffed and again started crying. "First of all, you come here and scare me and then you are shouting too. I am not going to talk to you." Zoya said looking at the other side.
"You become very cunning in such matters." Aditya said annoyingly and sat in front of her on his knees while holding his ears.
"Fine. Sorry. A very Big Sorry. Happy now?" Aditya asked.
"Happy, but I need a chocolate too tomorrow for compensating this." Zoya grinned sheepishly.
"Only on one condition." Aditya said standing up.
"What"? Zoya looked at him in confusion.
"You are never going to do this stupidity again." Aditya said seriously.
"Yes Okay." Zoya said pouting. "Wait. Why are you here? How did you come to know that this is my room? And how in the world did you come up?" Zoya bombarded him with questions.
"Calm down and breathe first." Aditya said casually while sitting on the bed."First answer, I came here because I don't even know the ABCD of assignment so who can guide me other than you Ms. Intelligent. Second answer, Only the lights of this room was on so it was not a rocket science to guess that it's your room since you are only dedicated one in this house to be awake at this time to do your work. Third answer, I came up with the help of pipe." Aditya grinned while Zoya stood there shocked.
"You are....You are..." Zoya stood there thinking of a perfect word for him but she couldn't get any.
"See. You can't describe me in one word." Aditya smirked while Zoya facepalmed at his answer.
"Come here then and do the assignment seriously. I will push you out of the window if you distract me even once." Zoya said in a warning tone and sat beside him.
"Woah! Violent Siddiqui." Aditya grinned. Zoya slapped his hand and looked at his angrily.
"Okay fine. Help me please." Aditya said and Zoya smiled.
They were doing the assignment for about 2 and a half hours. Zoya was too busy in her assignment to notice that Aditya was sleeping instead of listening to whatever she was telling him to write. She looked at him when she didn't get any response and found him sleeping on her bed beside her like a baby. She smiled warmly and took his assignment from his hand. She covered him with the duvet and switched off the lamp beside the bed. She went and sat on the bed and completed the leftover work of both her assignment and his too. She then kept the assignment in the side and went and sat beside him. She tried shifting him a little to the side so that she can sleep too on the bed beside him but he was too strong and heavy to be shifted by him. She then, slept on the little space beside him and covered herself with the duvet. Aditya in his sleep, sensed someone beside him sleeping and snuggled into her. His chest got stuck with her back. He kept his head in the crook of her neck and his hands on her waist hugging her. Zoya's stomach got filled with the butterflies and goosebumps filled her skin. She peeked at him and found him sleeping peacefully with a small smile. She felt so protected and so safe. She never felt this good before. She felt as if finally she got someone whom she belongs to and who belongs to her. She too smiled looking at him and slept.

In the morning, Aditya woke up first. He shifted a little and saw Zoya in his embrace sleeping cutely. He was cuddling her. He took his hands away from her waist and kept looking at her face for a minute when Zoya also woke up due to the warmth that went away a little. Aditya then realised that he was sleeping with her in the same bed. He stood up with a jerk. Zoya flinched due to his movement and she also stood up.
"Zoya..Zoya Sorry. I did not mean to sleep with you here and make you uncomfortable. I just slept while doing the assignment I think. Please don't be mad Zoya." Aditya said panicking.
Zoya chuckled a little at his cuteness. "Aditya it's okay. I trust you." Zoya said smiling. "I got a very peaceful sleep after eternity." She said.
"Me too." Aditya replied looking at her. He stared at her eyes intently. Zoya looked him in the eyes and then averted her gaze from him.
"Now go fast otherwise someone will see you." Zoya said and pushed him slightly towards the window.
"My assignment is still incomplete." Aditya made a crying face looking at his assignment.
"No" Zoya chuckled." It's complete. I did it when you were sleeping. Now go." Zoya opened the window for him.
"Thank you Zoya. You are a saviour.Bye" Saying this Aditya kissed her on her right cheek and went out of the window and down through the pipe. Zoya stood there dumbfounded and kept her one hand on her cheek at the spot where Aditya kissed and other hand at her heart trying to stop it's pounding while her face glowed red with the blush that crept on it.
