~Dreams(Sugawara Koshi) ~

A/N: This is a soulmate AU that I thought of, where you meet your soulmate through dreams but when you wake up, the details become fuzzy and you'll eventually forget about the dream.

"Interesting," the girl muses to herself as she stares at news feed of her social media.

Researchers had found out that people has the ability to meet their soulmates through their dreams.

A yawn escapes from (f/n)'s mouth as she starts to skims through the article. 

With only one out of fifty people experiencing this, it is very unclear on how this said phenomenon occurs and varies per person.

"Well that's lame,"(f/n) mutters, squinting at the screen in front of her. 

With her eyelids becoming heavier and heavier as the seconds passed, she briefly noticed the time displayed at the corner of her phone.

It's already 11? I think I've had enough social media for today.

(f/n) places her phone at the table beside her then switches the light off. With her eyes closed, she pulled the covers over her body, slowly drifting off to sleep.

" Open your eyes," A voice gently whispers through her left ear.

(f/n) bites her lower lip, hesitation slowly washing over her body.

" Sure- " the girl crosses her arms- "Unless,you're some sort of murderer who's ready to shoot me dead. "

" Well, I highly doubt that." The voice softly chuckles at her. " Since I'm your soulmate and all."

A stunned silence passes through (f/n).

" Wait, what did you just say?"

The voice chuckles again, " I'll tell you if you open your eyes."

" Really?" (f/n) asks, emphasizing the doubt in her tone. "Can I trust you?"

 "Yes."

The girl slowly opens her eyes, momentarily blinded by the bright light.

Blinking once or twice, her vision clears. In front of her stood a silver-haired boy, smiling gently at her.

" Hi soulmate." he bashfully waves his hand.

A wave of shock hits her, momentarily stunned by the sudden beauty waving at her.

" This is a dream," She whispered to herself as she stared at the boy.

The girl grabs his shoulders then stares straight into his eyes.

" This is a dream right? It's not real?"

The boy momentarily chokes in his own breath.

" W-well, yes, in terms of the dreaming part but-" He looks away as his cheeks flushes red from the sudden outburst of the girl. "-No."

"What do you mean?" (f/n) shook him back and fort.

What is this sorcery?! Am I going crazy?! Or could it be that I'm already dead and this person here is gonna guide me to either heaven or hell.

A gasp escaped from her lips. Her grip on his shoulders loosened as her whole body freezes all over again.

"Am I dead?"

"Um, no."

Regaining his composure, a tiny chuckle escapes from his lips.
