"Yachi!" I called out to the girl from a far then sprinted to her direction.
"Perfect timing! Is the team taking a break now? "
"Yes,they are. You can go in and give your chocolates to them now if you want to."
"Thanks Yachi-san, you can have this-" I rummaged through my bag and handed her over the extra chocolate I've made the night before.
"Wow! (F/n) - san thank you!"
She smiled then proceeded to the club room to prepare the energy drinks of the team.
I let out a sigh as I stared at the silver sliding door in front of me.
There lies beyond this door is the saltiest boy in this school.
I slapped myself, releasing the tension that's been pent up since this morning.
"Let's get this over with." I mumbled as I knocked on it.
"Excuse me-" I stepped inside the gym, my eyes scanning the surroundings.
"Oh, (l/n) - san? Do you need anything?" Coach Ukai questions as he approached me at the entrance.
"Um, if you don't mind, I'll hand out my chocolates to the team."
"Oh right, it's Valentines day-" He mumbled as rubbed his chin.
"If you want coach, I have some for you."
I timidly handed him over the bag of chocolates.
"You don't have to bribe me with those just to enter the gym."
He tried to return the chocolates but I insisted that he should have it because I made a lot for today.
"Gosh, getting chocolates from a kid is maki'n me feel like an old man."
He sighed in defeat then stepped aside, allowing me to move around and give out the chocolates.
"Chocolates?" Daichi questions me as I hand him over a packet.
"Yes, I'm going to give all of the members some."
I spotted Hinata behind Daichi, his ears perk-up and started to turn to my direction with sparkling eyes.
"Um, here's some chocolate for you Hinata."
"Thank you so much (l/n) - san!"
Giddy from receiving chocolates, he grabs both of my hands and starts to swing them repeatedly from left to right.
"BOKE! STOP IT." Kageyama came and spanked Hinata's head.
The orange head winces in pain then shot a glare towards the setter, who is also staring back with anger in his eyes.
"Um, please don't fight."
I cautioned them as I felt Daichi's anger slowly rising.
Panicking, I took out a packet of chocolates- "KAGEYAMA, THINK FAST!" I yelled as I tossed the chocolates up in the air.
The boy reacted by setting the chocolates to Hinata, who spiked it back to my direction.
MY CHOCOLATES!
I dived to catch them but ended up hitting it back or should I say 'received it' .
I watched in horror as the it flew to the other side of the gym, where Suga-san is resting.
Cross legged he sat as he drank from his water bottle, not knowing that a packet of chocolate was gonna hit him soon.
Please, please don't hit his head.
A sigh escaped from his lips as he placed the bottle down. With a towel on his other hand, he wiped away the sweat that's dripping on his forehead.
"If only I could eat-" The chocolates landed on his lap- "Oh! Where did this come from?"
"It's from me." I replied to Suga's question as I slowly stood up on my two feet.
He shouted a quick 'thank you' before nibbling on a chocolate.
"What about us!?"
Tanaka and Nishinoya questions, their eyes sparkling with excitement.
"I would never forget to give my Sempais." I handed over the packaged chocolates to them.
"Chocolates for sempai..."
"I feel so blessed..."
Tears formed in their eyes as the nibbled on the chocolates.
"Thank you!" Yamaguchi smiles upon receiving his chocolates.
Okay, I've already given the chocolates to the third and second years.
My eyes scanned the room, checking for a possible person that I would have forgotten to give.
A sigh escaped from my lips as my eyes landed on Tsukishima, the spice boy or should I say the salt boy.
I caught him steal a glance at my direction before turning his back at me.Tsukishima.
I trudged to his direction, clutching the strap of my bag tightly.
"Tsukishima-"
"I don't like chocolates." He bluntly states as he readjusts his glasses.
I gritted my teeth.
Can you please let me finish my sentence first?
"I know, Yamaguchi told me."
He shot a look at the freckled boy who then mumbled a 'sorry' before turning his back.
"I made you a strawberry cupcake instead."
I opted to make his favorite cake but it was a hassle for me and for him as well. Just imagining him brining a whole cake to his house is going to make me guilty of letting him carry something fragile.
I watched him take the cupcake from my hands.
" Thanks."
He took a bite. The icing was smeared on the corner of his lips, making him look like a kid for once.
With his free hand, he wiped it away along with the crumbs that came along with it.
"It tastes terrible."
Despite his comment, I saw a tiny sparkle in his eyes as well as a genuine grin form on his mouth.
I was at loss for words.
Usually I would retort at his comment and get angry at his smug expression but now he looks, cute.
I felt something fling to my face.
Bringing myself back to reality, I've noticed that the blond had flinged a tiny portion of the icing to my face.
"Hey!" I wiped the cream away then shot a glare at him.
He smirked at my reaction which made my blood boil.
"Wanna fight?" I taunted.
Now this is the the expression I've been thinking about. The smug expression that I wanna punch out of his face.
He chuckled then leaned close to my face, close enough that our noses are nearly touching. Instantly, heat rushed to my cheeks.
"Fighting doesn't suite you." With his index finger, he wiped away the remaining frosting on my nose.
Another chuckle escaped from his lips as he then walked away while munching on the cupcake.
I blinked at least two or three times, trying to register what just had happened.
" Dammit, wasn't I angry at him?" I muttered to myself then cupped my cheeks.
The heat didn't subside, to make it even worse the memory of him leaning close was replaying on my head.
I hate you brain.
