Sitting inside the flower arrangement club room, I stared absentmindedly at the vase full of flowers.

I took in a deep breath, the floral scents tickling my nose. The tension in my body fades away, letting me momentarily forget the upcoming tests and assignments that are needed to be done.

What will I do with these flowers?

An idea suddenly popped inside my head. The corners of my mouth tugged into a smile as I grabbed some floral wire and tape.

"(l/n)!" Hinata greets me as I enter the gym.

"Hey," I greeted back trying to hold down my excitement. "I've heard you guys are going to be in the nationals."

"Yup. " Daichi puffs his chest, looking proud.

"So (l/n), what brings you here?" Ennoshita asks.

"Well," I took out a bunch of flowers out of my bag. "I wanted to wish the team good luck by giving out these flowers."

I proceeded to hand out the flowers to the boys. They each bashfully received a flower all except Tsukishima since he's one salty dude.

"I thought flowers are meant to be given to girls not guys," The blond scoffs as he takes the flower.

"Well, why not break that stereotype?" I countered.

He rolled his eyes at my reply, muttering something insulting under his breath.

Hmmp, rude .

Proceeding to Kageyama, I watch him blankly stare at me.

"You don't have any flowers left," He muttered, trying to hide the disappointment in his tone.

"Well, I have something just for you." I rummaged through my bag. "Close your eyes."

He followed, closing his eyes as he stood still.

Standing on my tippy toes, I placed the flower crown on his head.

"You can open them now."

The corner of my lips tugged into a smile. The sight of him wearing a flower crown was cute.

"Ooohhhh! Kageyama wearing a flower crown!"

The orange head teases the setter, who's face has turned into a shade of red.

"Shut up."

Kageyama glares at Hinata, trying to hide his embarrassment.

The other team members laughed at the sight of the two bickering back and fort.

"Why did you give him a flower crown though?" Tanaka asks as he place his arm around my shoulder.

"Well," I let out a tiny laugh as I gently removed his arm. "He was nicknamed the king of the court, why not give him a crown?"

Everyone's eyes widened as their mouths form an 'O'.

"He somewhat looks like a fairy king or those flower girls in a wedding," Tsukishima retorts as he adjusts his eyeglasses.

Suddenly, the gym became eerily silent as I watch Kageyama slowly walk toward the blond, his face full of irritation.

"Say that again," He dares, face to face with the boy.

Tsukishima chuckles at his expression. A smirk forms on his mouth as he crossed his arms, staring straight at the boy.

"Wait, wait, WAIT!" I stepped in between the boys, trying to stop the fight from going any further.

"(f/n) - san, please move aside as I beat up this lamp pole," Kageyama says, without turning to my direction.

"No. " I stubbornly stayed in between the boys. "Fighting is not a solution."

"Hear that king?" Tsukishima chuckles at the sight of Kageyama looking quite torn - up between listening to me or throwing a punch at his direction.

"You too Tsukishima." I turned to his direction, a stern expression on my face. "You should learn when to shut that mouth of yours."

Someone stiffles their laughter as I watch the blond click his tongue, giving me a disapproving look.

"Whatever."

One hand on his hip, the boy retreats to the other side of the gym.

How does he manage to look like a model walking on a runway?

I turned my head to Kageyama's direction.

The boy clicked his tongue, still glaring at the figure of Tsukishima drinking his energy drink from afar.

"Kageyama?"

He awkwardly looks at my direction, the blush slolwy creeping back on his cheeks. The boy opened his mouth to say something but ended up closing it. Averting his eyes, the color on his cheeks turned into a deeper shade of red.

It's my first time seeing him so flustered.

A giggle escapes from my mouth.

"Come on." I grabbed his hand, leading him out of the gym.

"Ehh!? What are you-"

" I'm letting you get a bit of fresh air." I squeezed his hand. "You look like you might pass out any second."

Stepping out of the gym, I felt a gentle cool breeze caress my cheek. The trees from the distance swayed, it's leaves slowly falling to the ground.

I slowly released his hand. A feeling of emptiness passes through me as I felt the comforting warmth of his fingers lingering on mine.

"(f/n) - san," He starts off.

I turned to his direction, my eyebrows raised.

"Thank you, for the flower crown and if you're, uh-" He rubbed the back of his neck, the dark blue eyes of his darting around.

"W-would you like to hang out with me sometime?"

The heat rush to my cheeks as I felt my heart skip a beat.

Eehh?! Is he asking me out on a date?!

"Y-yeah," I said, the panic rising in my chest as I felt my heart race.

"Okay," Red-faced, he reaches out and grabs my hand. An electric shock passes through my body.

"Text me when you're free." He says, handing me over a piece of paper.

He walked back to gym, his figure gradually becoming smaller and smaller before disappearing inside the building.

Letting out a sigh of relief, I looked down at my hand that held the piece of paper. Slowly unfolding it, I stared at the cellphone number that was scribbled messily on the paper.

"Oh my God," The realization hits me hard.

I have his cellphone number?!
